Unofficial Game Thread - Tennessee vs UK

Think about it. IF IF IF 4 of those balls that hit receivers in the hands had been caught , Nico would have had in excess of 400 yards close to 85% completion rate.

We definitely still have several things that need to be improved on offense. However, we did put up almost 500 yards of offense. I’m not sure how that classifies as not showing improvement. It appears to me the biggest issues we have been seeing offensively occur once we get in scoring range. It’s frustrating that we struggle to finish drives. It seems like we alternate the source of the issues. Either Nico misses wide open receivers, he throws perfect passes that get dropped, someone fumbles, or we have a drive killing penalty. I guess it is somewhat promising that it’s not just the same issue over and over.

I want to know what happened to Vandergriff. The more I see the replay, the more I think he just quit. I didn’t see anything that looked like it could have caused an injury on the play.

That being said, the Titans made Will Levi’s look much better than he was, by drafting him as early as they did. With Vandergriff starting 1-6 in the SEC, I’d be shocked to see Kentucky get another decent QB transfer.

Solid performance by everyone except the special teams unit which left 9 points on the field and that will come back to bite Tennessee in the ass if we have a close game on down the road.

Ekeler should try Turbyville as the field goal kicker since Gilbert looks like he has lost confidence in himself.
Once a kicker get the yips this bad, best to open the position up for tryouts. This is the 2nd week in the road he has missed makeable field goals. I dont won't him to be what causes the Vols to lose the Vandy game.

Now, if only Kiffin would beat Kirby in Oxford next week.
That does not help us one iota. If we lose to a 2 loss Georgia and 2 loss Ole Miss has a win over them, that’s puts two teams ahead of us.

We need Ole Miss to scare Georgia good and bruise them badly, but we still need Georgia to win, regardless of our outcome against Georgia.
