You're right, I should just sell my season tickets right now because Meyer is coming back.
Clearly no good whatsoever can come from Meyer staying affiliated with UF.
Sorry bro....the gloom and doom you want me to feel just isn't there. And at the end of the day, we're talking about college football. This isn't life and death stuff.
Explain? Brain Cyst, heard they can be bad but, whats the long term effect? And retirement? He's not.
Because at the end of the day it's nobody's business but Meyer, his employer and his family.
It's as though you want to beat a confession of the guy, when all the information about his condition is already out there.
I do not wish the guy any ill health.. I have had a heart condition myself (BY-pass) but I just think the lack of information will hurt him in recruiting even if he stays (only for the next couple of classes tho) and I thought he came off as indicisive. I don't realy care what his health issues are, and the hippa laws are there to keep them private if he so wanted. Yet I would hate to vote for a president who refuses to release his and I would hate to committ four to five years of my life to a coach who would not as well JMO
When you release a statement saying you're walking away from being coach at Florida because of your health, and then less than 24 hours later you're sitting at a press conference saying "no, wait, after I went to one practice and hung out with the players I've changed my mind," then you've made at least the broad details about your medical condition a matter of public debate. Sorry.
So because he doesn't address his health at a press conference, that's proof positive he won't address the issue with a potential recruit or recruit's parents in a more private setting?
I doubt the recruits that Meyer and his staff have spent months, and in some cases years, to build relationships will jump ship because of something that wasn't addressed at a press conference.

It's as if you don't want to get it.
Meyer is still the head coach.
Feel free to create doubt in your mind until new information becomes available.
If I were a Florida fan, I'd be livid at Meyer. Either you can do the job or you can't. If you can, awesome. If you can't, get out of the way so we can hire Bob Stoops. Now the team gets to roll around in uncertainty all year because Meyer didn't have the stones to just cut the cord.
I am sure he will address the issue with the recruits in private, but as he walks away do you not think they will wonder if he is only saying what they want to hear. It just makes a lot more sense to me to publicly deal with the issue one time and settle it, not leave it open for debate from other schools and recruiters
According to this, Urban expects to be coaching by the time next season starts.
