I have faith in Frank Anderson, especially with the young guys. What year is Halvorsen, a Sr? I think Sewell will be a key piece of the puzzle this season and I also think Kirby takes the next step this year.
GBO!!

In Frank We Trust 🙂 On Missouri baseball’s website, Halvorsen was listed as a redshirt sophomore, so I guess that would make him a junior here? I always get the years confused.

I assumed that Camden would be back next season, but then I read somewhere that he could potentially turn pro? Having him return would add veteran presence and experience.

We’ve come a long way in a short time with Coach V as Tennessee baseball’s skipper. I’m here for all the information gathering. Bring it on! 👍🏽

Getting Burns to remain on campus would be a huge win. The makeup of our pitching staff and bullpen next season is what I find the most intriguing. With Blade, Burns, and (potentially) Camden, Seth H. ,Kirby…that’s a great mix of arms. Will Ben Joyce be recovered from his injury? If we get Chase Dollander as a transfer commit, he will be a great addition. I’m also curious about Elijah, Mark, and Jason.

When my sons were at TN baseball camp, they had Ben Joyce as a counselor, and he said he’s feeling good and expects to be ready next year. He was not able to pitch for a while, but was able to pitch at the camp a few weeks ago.

Great to know about Ben, @Volprofch05 ! Glad he’s feeling good and making progress. Thank you for the update.

The Braves only have 5 picks.

House has been listed as being scouted by the Detroit Tigers.

Can mlb teams trade draft picks? For example could Atlanta move up from 24?

Correct. More precisely, he is a rising redshirt Junior, meaning next season will be his fourth year overall, but as a junior instead of a senior because he redshirted a year. He'll have at least two more years of eligibility, this coming season as a junior and the next as a senior.

How an extra year for covid figures in, or whether it does in this case, I'm not sure. I do know that this year only is a free year for transferring anywhere without sitting out a year of eligibility. I'm not sure if in that case he does or does not get another year of eligibility. Perhaps someone here knows.

Thanks for clarifying about the redshirt season and eligibility. I think I understand it better now. Redshirt years always throw me off.

The extra year for COVID is adding another layer of unknown.
