***UPDATED PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS POST SATURDAY GAMES***

I have not paid any attention to SMU, but a quick glance at their schedule shows they have not played against any ranked teams and Duke took them to OT. I like Clemson in this one.
SMU has played three games against ranked teams - they beat Louisville and Pitt when both were ranked, and their only loss is by 3 pts to current #17 BYU back on September 6th.

They are #12 in the FPI, have the #9 SOR and SOS is #65. Clemson is #15, #26, and #52, respectively.

I don't mind it.

I mean, General Neyland thought of football as a war game. If it's good enough for the General, it's good enough for me. Ryan Day can say that all he likes.

Go Vols!

You raise an interesting point. I’d be curious as to the perspective of @VFL-82-JP, @VolMarine1371, and some of our other vets and current service members.
I do think you can compare sports to certain aspects to life or the military in how you go about business, or how you wanna act. As an OIF and OEF veteran that has lost close friends in a combat war zone and has had friends hurt, I personally don’t like don’t like it. While others may see it differently and have different opinions on it, I think comparing a football game, or the aftermath of a bunch of undisciplined kids and adults diminishes and down plays what actual service members have gone through or currently going through.

The aftermath of the Ohio State in no way represents a war zone or combat. From what I seen I would not want anyone from Ohio State defending me and fighting by my side in combat if they think that’s what combat is like. I want someone that has discipline and has self control by my side and a leader that leads by example and not one that stands around with his hands in his pockets watching.

Till you have a fully experienced combat, then you will never truly know what it means to some. It’s most definitely not what they show on TV and in movies. Anyways that’s my personal take. While I don’t like it, nothing will change and I try not to let stuff like that bother me anymore like it used to and I just laugh at people like Ryan Day that act like they know what combat is like because they seen it on TV or played Called of Duty once.

I doubt

Sends a bad message by the Committee. Second, wait for the suspensions. You put them as a host team come Tuesday and watch the reactions from the press and fans. Then you have the Conference Championship.
This is all an eye test and about money. Have a game in Columbus OH 3 to 4 days before Christmas with the weather. It is just safer to play in the South.
The OSU stadium will look like a ghost town and for the most part they are looking for a reason to fire day.
The committee may be B10 bias but they are not stupid. OSU is in but they were going to fall 6 slots with the loss. The extracurricular activity threw them into a 9-11 range.
Give them a chance. This ain't Pop Warner football.
It is a gift of which they do not deserve if it happens.
The Head of the Committee happens to be the Michigan AD so if he wants to swallow the pill then so be it.
I hate Ohio State as much as anyone but that place is never a ghost town.

I would rather play a team loaded with poorly coached, self-serving, pampered, prima donna 5* players like OSU than a motivated, well-coached, over-achieving team of 2 and 3* players like Vandy any day of the week. I would prefer playing them at home, of course. Just look at Boise State. They are rarely even in the top-25 in recruiting each year, but their players love the underdog role and playing with something to prove, rather than avoiding injury and protecting their draft stock. Nico is gaining confidence and more battle-hardened on the road. So, if it's OSU in Columbia, so be it. If we're worthy of being a NC, it won't matter. This is what we all dreamed of for the last 15 years or so. It's happening, so let's relish it!
We can’t relish it. We’re more mustard people around here.
