ESPN just posted this about 20 minutes ago...

Former Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer has taken the head coaching job at Ohio State, his agent, Trace Armstrong, confirmed Monday morning.

Meyer had been working as a game analyst this season for ESPN. But Meyer requested off his appearance this weekend as reports swirled of his imminent hire with the Buckeyes.

Sources told WKMG-TV in Orlando last week that Meyer would be introduced in coming days after agreeing to a seven-year, $40 million deal.

Looks like the bar has been set at 5.7 Million per year. That is the number we need to throw out to get that caliber coach when the time comes. I'm not saying it should be this year, but we need to have a pool of money on standby for when the inevitable happens.

Worst kept secret of all time. Guess those health "issues" were a joke after all.

Also, #beatohio

I hope Saban goes back to Michigan St. and chases him out of the Big 10 just like he did 12 months ago.

He leaves Florida to spend more time with his family, takes a job with espn as an analyst, and then accepts a job with Ohio State. Where did Family fit in? I had little respect for him before, I have none for him now. Pathetic.

I know he has recruiting connections in Florida, but I have a hard team seeing a mass exodus of 5 star Florida High School athletes out of the region to go play in cold Columbus. Maybe its just me and I could be wrong. How is he going to get speed up there to offset the typical physical play of the Big 10?

Here we go. Where does it end? When the HC makes more than the entire staff of college professors? An NBA player makes enough to pay an entire high school of teachers because he's tall and can put a b'ball through a hoop. We're getting upside-down, maybe we already are.

How many UT fans would be happy if they could have landed Urban Meyer? Be honest when replying.

That NBA player makes the organization a lot more money than what he is paid. It's entertainment and should not be dumbed down in pay just because teachers don't make enough in your opinion. It's easier to be a teacher than it is to be a highly paid player in the NBA. Get a clue.
