Urban Meyer Is Steppin' In It

I never mentioned Bama. They're gonna be a beast for as long as Saban stays. I have nothing but respect for them.

To think Tennessee will be mentioned in the same breath as LSU, Bama and Florida is also optimistic.

It's not remotely optimistic. We have a recruiting focused staff that holds players accountable, on and off the field. The formula for success is little more than that. We will have hellacious defenses going forward. The years our QBs perform, we will kick peoples' asses.

It's a great feeling knowing how soon it's coming.

Dream on. Tenneessee, as well as Bama and UF, are going to be miles in front of LSU. LSU is going down fast, because they are coached by Coker 2.0. Tennessee will bring in plenty of talent, and the coaches will do very well with it.

I like you you continually speculate about what Kiffin will do with all the talent he brings in, yet in spite of Meyer's success everywhere he's coached, is clearly on some sort of decline.

Meyer isn't on the decline, he'll just be facing much stiffer competition than he's ever faced. Florida and Tennessee will be pretty even, IMO, as well as Bama. I think Bama will win more SEC titles because they'll likely make it to Atlanta almost every year.

True, the redshirt junior we recruited....not the 4th year guy you're trying to give away.

Thanks, but no thanks.
You idiot Crompton was highly touted and got everyone excited with his performance against LSU a few years ago. That's the comparison BPV's making here. You don't have the first clue how Brantley will be when he has to do the actual work.

The point is that our QB last year was a 4th year redshift junior who was the #2 rated pro style QB out of HS. He also had to swith offenses prior to his first start. He also had a young and shaky receiving corps. He had our fans believing. Now, a year and a half into it, he is just beginning to scratch the surface of his promise.

I think as a program UT still has some work to do before they're considered to be "even" with a Meyer-led Florida program.

I do take great joy in how you kicked the snot out of UGA though.

They have a while to go before they can hope to match Florida's accomplishments, but they will be matching Florida in the quality of play on the field pretty soon. It's no shot at Florida, it's a compliment to Tennessee's staff, players, and program.

Again, you blast me and get personal when I speculate about Brantley, yet you're certain Tennessee will get the best of Meyer going forward based on Kiffin stepping up recruiting to the level of Meyer's last three classes.

Brantley is gonna suck like Crompton, and Kiffin is going to get the best of Meyer.

Got it......

Brantely may not suck, but you're way to optimistic about him. Kiffin has done a great job with Tennessee already this year.

Do you honestly think the only thing he brings to the field is talent?

Don't mind me. I've been at the Tavern in Buckhead since 3. Gotta love that place. Anyone guy with a clue in the ATL knows what I am talking about. Carry on.

Let's put the football talk on hold for a second.....

Do the waitresses there still wear the little black slutty outfits?

I can agree with this.

We have a helluva lot more to go on. We have been watching a mediocre team play reasonably well and saw Oakland improve dramatically while he was at the helm with shackles on. He can recruit, is demanding, is exacting and holds players accountable via competition. Brantley has played against the Citadel.
