REPORTS: Ohio State transfer Micah Potter has been denied immediate eligibility by the NCAA. He will first become eligible for the #Badgers after the end of the current semester: http://bit.ly/2IFqTq3

Did he possibly play in a game for Ohio St before deciding to transfer? If not, it’s odd sitting out half the year?

No he didn’t. Problem also that Uros didn’t transfer to UT midyear so based on this reasoning it seems like it’s all or nothing

One detail in Micah Porter's story stood out to me. Ohio State head coach Chris Holtzman supported the waiver, yet it was still denied. Per VQ, Arizona State has been uncooperative, thus dragging the process out.

Tennessee still hasn't heard back about the waiver, but those in the program still have confidence that it'll be granted. It seems to be like we may have a situation similar to Aubrey Solomon on the football side, and may not hear back until the 11th hour.

Coach Barnes has a press conference today for local media day. Perhaps we'll find out an update then.

Did this guy transfer in conference though? From OSU to Wisconsin?

Yes, and that stuck out to me as a possible reason for the denial, although if Holtzman supported the waiver and cooperated, the in-conference transfer factor shouldn't matter to the NCAA.

It took Pruitt getting a little combative to get the Solomon News, maybe rick needs to come out a little aggressive today.

"Potter’s main argument is that he’s paid his penalty by sitting out the 2018-19 season after deciding to leave the Ohio State program just a few days before the season opener," the Wisconsin State Journal's Jim Polzin wrote in August. "He spent the rest of the semester at Ohio State in order to stay on track to graduate and, after choosing the Badgers, arrived in Madison in December."

Plavsic has had to get accustomed to both the American game and the college game in the span of two years. The increased physical play required an adjustment, but since arriving in the country he's put on 25 pounds of muscle and now carries himself at 240. He said the presence of guards Lamonte Turner, Jordan Bowden and Josiah James has helped him learn a lot at Tennessee, noting he receives text messages "all the time" from Turner about specific NBA players to watch and learn from.

Turner is turning into quite the leader in my opinion.
