Uros Plavsic commits to Tennessee

Hate to speculate on things like this, but Pending Appeal means he's been denied? If they just don't recognize the AC leaving as grounds for transfer looks like he'd still play tonight. rules infractions on recruiting him could hint at why he wouldn't be playing. As usual, more drama. .....Wait and see, i guess.
Didn't we just go through this with Solomon with football? It turns out he won his appeal and I think we have a good chance that Plavsic will also be approved. Just a shot in the dark.

By the rules he’s ineligible - that’s pretty clear. If one appeals due to extenuating circumstances then the NCAA can decide to allow an exception to the rule - that’s what’s happening with UP.

So out of 114 requests only 7 were denied with UP being one of them.

Not sure when the request was submitted, but would assume in Spring.

Not concerned that he was denied however I am concerned at how long it took the NCAA to rule on this. What's more, the appeals process will now go into the season.

This is got to be more ridiculous of inefficiency by the NCAA and the time limits of which they handle such cases.

Where do you see that it was denied? Did I miss something?

If you look above and you see the transfer portal link, 2 weeks ago it had 74 players with their status to be determined. If you look at it today three player status to be determined and stating pending appeal. That's all I've got.

I think that’s just how they’re categorizing him...he has to appeal to be eligible this year, I haven’t seen anything saying his initial appeal has been denied.

Aubrey Solomons said that too. It just means ASU was dragging their feet and didnt give NCAA all the info they needed originally

It was reported that AS was denied in the first request and told more info was needed
Possibly the same in this case

BTO it appears that UP's is Pending Appeal....which to me means his initial request was denied... 2019 Basketball Transfer Portal

I have a hard time imagining that 247 has inside info on guys waivers being denied...if you search the other 2 guys listed neither are mentioned as having their initial waivers denied.

Also, where are the 50+ guys who are awaiting word listed at?

I just don't understand how this decision is so difficult for the NCAA.

Fact #1: Uros attended Arizona State.
Fact #2: Uros sat out a year and never played for Arizona State.
Fact #3: Uros transferred to TN and now wants to play since he already sat out a year.

That's it. That's the story. It's not that hard. Either approve him or deny him, but it shouldn't take nearly an entire YEAR to get this done. Absolute ineptitude.
Unless ASU is saying UT broke a rule or something, it should be a simple decision.

I think Jeff Goodman has one, but again he’s not being told by the NCAA that waivers are being denied and appealed when nobody else is getting that info.

I have insider news there is a game in less than an hour and still nothing on his waiver. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
