You know what goes here...."They hate us for our freedom". Excerpts:

Asked for documentation of Tariq and Waheed’s deaths, Akbar did not provide pictures of the missile strike scene. Virtually none exist, since drones often target people who show up at the scene of an attack.

The CIA’s drone campaign in Pakistan has killed dozens of civilians who had gone to help rescue victims or were attending funerals, an investigation by the Bureau for the Sunday Times has revealed.

A three month investigation including eye witness reports has found evidence that at least 50 civilians were killed in follow-up strikes when they had gone to help victims. More than 20 civilians have also been attacked in deliberate strikes on funerals and mourners. The tactics have been condemned by leading legal experts.

I call BS. The talibs are notorious for dragging out their dead and replacing them with the bodies of freshly killed innocent civilians (who were not killed by the US). This quote says a lot:

‘We lost very trained and sincere friends‘, a local Taliban commander told The News, a Pakistani newspaper. ‘Some of them were very senior Taliban commanders and had taken part in successful actions in Afghanistan. Bodies of most of them were beyond recognition.’

We spend a lot of time clarifying the target and making sure that we don't have collateral damage. They are just po'd that we can now fire multiple volleys on the same target instead of the 2 missile salvos that we used to be limited to, and they are butt hurt that we are going after funerals. But, hey, if you are going to attend the funeral of a well known Taliban leader you need to wear your kevlar underwear because you will be targeted.

It seems like these 2 statements are mutually exclusive.

So we don't have any collateral damage, or we're just mindful of it?

No, we do cause some at times, but the targeting effort is very deliberate and controlled to prevent it and/or minimize it if it happens.

We use a variety of tools to assess the potential splash based on angles of attack and then guide in the munitions to get the best results. It is probably one of the most sophisticated and skillful things we do and it can be done within minutes of identifying a target.

But you just inferred we justifiably target funerals, which most certainly would include collateral damage. Wouldn't that mean we knowingly target civilians?

before bombing funerals, let's kill two birds with one stone and send the Westboro Baptists over there to protest them.

That would work except the Talibs stone homosexuals so they probably wouldn't protest one of their funerals.

do not believe

You should still be very concerned. Whether you believe it or not, you know our enemies believe it. Get ready for more blowback. Our foreign policy does not make us safer. Our measures ensure the creation of new enemies, and it's bankrupting us.

If you're supporting them, you will die with them.

K whatever, but is the objective to kill Taliban, or is it to make America safe? Inspiring new generations of terrorists will not make us safer. Bankrupting ourselves is not making us safer.

Run for office if you don't like it.
