what's interesting to me about this comment and the responses is it shows that in the end it is Iran that can choose not to escalate - so much of the discussion begins with our actions but in the end it is Iran that has been the provocateur and continually makes choices.

there's been little condemnation of their actions tonight; instead we get a lot of "we asked for it and now they're asking for it".

I think they know that their air force and global economic grip on crude oil are their greatest assets, and that's what's being advertised the most as points of contention.

Imagine how much an attack on Dubai would affect crude oil, regardless of how fast Iran is turned into dust. What implications will we face with Iraqi relations? What happens in Israel with Hezbollah.
