US may have killed Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani

Sanctions have definitely hurt Iran. Exacerbated their economic woes. High inflation, high unemployment, we sacked their oil exports for a period of time that squeezed them hard. That’s a big reason why the Iranian people are sick of their govt. along with lack of freedoms they enjoyed prior to the “revolution”.
Are you expecting Iran to just change regimes anytime soon. I'm glad you highlighted who the sanctions really hurt.

If the Iranians have ballistic precision as indicated, that is a pretty big deal. That pic may just be a random hit.
In this day and age you can download the required libraries and source code from the internet as well as buy a text book to show you how to build a fairly accurate GPS aided navigator. In this day and age the expectation should be that any country who designs their own munitions, which Iran does even if they are largely copies of other designs, has precision strike capacity.

"While I'm President"

Remember last night when you were flapping your lips about how “trump only cares about himself and trying to look tough”?
Meanwhile in real life, trump announces he wants peace, to avoid war or any further actions. He’s literally doing the opposite of what you claimed. How does it feel to always look like such a complete blithering idiot?

I know that you are in the field so you have knowledge in this area. Thanks for the post.

As of july 2019 it is reported that they have a significant amount of uranium at 20%...so they probably have 90% weapons grade by now. ..

How scarce is the tech and ability to engineer a device small enough to fit in a warhead? It doesnt seem possible that they could do it now...seems like they would have to do underground testing on typically large scale devices before they could ever shrink the tech down to fit in a warhead...but with them being cozy with Russia and China...you never know.

I wonder how far off they are? How much does Israel know about their progress? I would bet that if they do a test underground that Israel would immediately attack with conventional weapons as a preemptive defensive measure.. .

Any ideas about tech and progress? Opinions?

You would say the same thing, even if Haifa was nuked. It's called unconditional support.

Nope.... I’m not a republican or trumper..... what do you disagree with that he did? I don’t like that trump hasn’t come up with a medical plan not has he tried to balance the budget.

Nuclear warhead miniaturization isn’t my area and I know nothing about it. Even back in 1987 I had a prof who told us in a class that “at the end of this class you will know how to build a nuclear bomb” and he was right. The catch was the processing and enrichment capacity and probably still is. Don’t really know.

A cruise missile, a ballistic missile, a drone/remotely piloted vehicle, a fighter bomber. They’re all just “trucks” and today they are commodity items. We can no longer sit back with a ‘Murica! attitude and discount the capability of any opponent to strike accurately by remote control. Those days are over. Anybody can hit a fairly small circle from long range fairly easily today. Us and the Russians provided that capability directly with the launch of the GPS satellite networks. The damage capacity of the payload they strike with is another story. But even a conventional 500-2000 lb bomb does a hella amount of damage when it hits what it’s aimed at.

We should assume anybody we fight can hit what they’re shooting at. So it’s on us to shoot down their attack vehicle.

All of the left MSM, Hollywierd, or Democrats just need to stay on your path. You're setting your party back 40 years while helping Trump more than anything he could ever possibly do to get reelected.

Russia/the former Soviet Union has always undercut the sanctions just enough to help them get by. Ultimately, just like with North Korea, the sanctions don't hurt the people responsible for them. The leadership of the government still lives the life of luxury and staying in power is all they care about.

No, I’m not. It will take some time. Of course they end up hurting the people. Can’t avoid that and it’s no secret. My empathy for the Iranian people notwithstanding, sanctions are designed to use that to put pressure on the govt. internally as well. However, their economy has also been in large part a product of their own policies.

That’s understood. See my response to Mick.

Careful, being critical of his fiscal responsibility will get you labeled a libtard.
