It's the govt investigating the govt for crimes committed by the govt against the govt. If you expected an actual outcome you're always going to be disappointed. The true nature of the Benghazi "embassy" was never going to come out.

If law agencies/judges keep using their political affiliation and not the "law" this country will never recover.

Bush took us to Afghanistan to get OBL (who was not a government official of a foreign nation) because he was responsible for 3k American civilian deaths on our turf. Congress at least had a chance to end it with the power of the purse if they disapproved, and then Obama got the job done. We spent trillions to get his scalp. The entire country wanted him dead for years and most Americans didn't even know who Soleimani was 2 weeks ago. We had a green light from the world to get OBL. How does that even remotely compare?

What does red hats have to do with anything? I’m a Trump supporter, and always will be. Soleimani was a killer, and he killed a lot of people, including our soldiers. A president has a right to go after these people on his own. I don’t think he is liar, and he deserved to die, or be arrested, or be put away. Surely you wasn’t for the guy? Surely you’d of wanted Soleimani dead?

Yepper, because if the R side charges the other with some sort of malfeasance, it becomes abuse of power. It's clear that a party is never going to investigate it's own until the smell of corruption becomes strong enough to bring them all down. At that point is's generally just done quietly and swept under the rug. One thing for sure, though, historically the Ds have a lot more latitude and a lot longer leash in these matters than the Rs do. You could directly compare the Watergate scandal to the Steele dossier/FISA mess; but it's not happening.

Since everything has become so polarized, there appear to be no unbiased judges. In that light it would be foolish to anyone to promote a judge from the opposing side of things - basically suicide. The real question is how do we walk back from bi-polarization of every branch of government?
