US may have killed Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani

No, you have to backup your position that he was behind any attack. You're the one spouting off that it is a fact that he was. I'm saying I haven't seen anything that proves he was.

Business insider accusing him of attacks in London and quoting the president’s claims he was behind attacks in the last two weeks. NPR going along with the official story. Who not named Mick is questioning this and what level of proof are you looking for?

Once again, you are attempting to parrot your party talking point without understanding it. They’re not saying “he wasn’t behind any attacks”. They’re saying “we don’t have evidence he was planning future attacks”.

Here’s CNN saying he was behind an assassination attempt against a US ambassador in Washington DC and that he was responsible for thousands of US casualties.

They must have been working ALSO. So complex and simple solutions both seem to work . Why exactly are you complaining then ?
My position is simple. Trump does not have a cohesive strategy in the ME. Body count is not a measure of success unless the goal was to kill as many of them as you could.

Trust me, taking out Soleimani isn't a strategy, Killing Iranian official's isn't a strategy. Yes the complexity of the ME requires for a complex strategy other than kill them all.

Since you are some self proclaimed guru on Trumps strategy, you should articulate it.
I think it much more effective than anything we have done in a while. Strikes on military bases can be spun as attacks on the country/people, especially when there is civilian casualties. Taking out leadership sends a clear message to the Iranian leadership and the people they oppress. So far it has been genius. We put direct pressure on Iranian leadership and military and we embolden the people who put pressure on the government.

Like him or not it was a masterful stroke.

As far as the greater strategy I'm not privey but it and to me we are measuring options at all times. There is plenty to criticize Trump on but foreign policy isn't it. He's tried new things and he thinks outside the box. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but the status quo will only yield the same results, think North Korea for instance. It's a fresh way of dealing with a decades old problem. It hasn't worked it like we hoped to date but it certainly hasn't hurt trying something different.

Seriously? That's rich

Who not named Mick is questioning these things? The answer is no one. Once again, you’re attempting to parrot a party line without understanding the party line.
Who said I was trying to parrot a party line? Poor feller, .

Tell me, who believes this is a conspiracy besides Mick? Hell, I can find hundreds of people who think the earth is flat. Seems you’re alone on this one. CNN saying he’s behind 1000s of US casualties and an assassination attempt on US soil. Business insider calling him the mastermind behind terrorist attacks in London.

And mick calling all of them liars. Who stands with you

What conspiracy. It's pretty straight forward. Trump picked a high profile target to counter the protests against the Embassy in Baghdad to try to avoid anything resembling Benghazi. What, you believe there was this flood of new intel which made it "necessary" to kill him at that particular time. Nobody cares that this guy was killed. It was as good a time as any but don't try to sell me on this imminent threat BS. Hell, the mortar attacks on the embassy this past week was retaliation for his killing. So in essence Trumps actions put our Troops and diplomats in more danger than before. But I guess when you support Trump and his incoherent strategy, you will use a dead body to claim whatever it is, it's working.

“Put our troops in more danger than before” ? It’s the sandbox , as long as we are there , we are always in danger and always waiting for them to attack when they decide to . This dead body without question , saved lives that would have been taken if he were left alive . Trump just like every POTUS made an executive decision based on the facts he was given . You don’t have to support Trump to it for what it was . Just an opportunity taken on a terrorist .

If I can quote the 2016 election runner up....

What difference would it make?

So we agree he was behind previous attacks, but we don’t agree that he was an imminent threat.

Back to my previous question: what made you believe he was retiring?
