US may have killed Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani

Ilhan Omar is Pretty Upset We Just Killed the World's Leading Islamic Terrorist

Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is incensed the United States has killed the world's leading Islamic terrorist, Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

On her Twitter feed, Omar condemns President Trump for approving the drone strike, but doesn't condemn Soleimani or any of his actions. Soleimani is responsible for the murder and maiming of thousands of Americans.

Omar has a histroy of sympathizing with terrorrists. She's refused to condemn Hamas, a terrorist organization funded by Iran, Hezbollah, a proxy of Iran and asked a judge to give leniency for a Somali man who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

As for the issue of congressional authorization, imminent attacks against Americans in the Middle East were being planned by Soleimani. President Trump took defensive action to prevent them.

UPDATE: Fellow "squad" member Rashida Tlaib, also a terror sypathizer, is also upset.

Thank God you bring it with that 24 point font or I'd miss these posts.

I see your confusion. You tried to think.

My post was "Good, let's get the hell out" in response to the Iraqi parliament saying something about making us leave. I never once said that we were getting out, so I was right the first time.

Eh, but this is going to lead to having *more* of us over there. You think we're going to stop at 3000?

CNN Anchor Describes Bin Laden’s Death As A ‘Nothing Burger’ Compared To Soleimani Killing

CNN’s chief international anchor described the death of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in 2011 as a “nothing burger” compared to Thursday’s killing of Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani.

The leader of Iran’s elite Quds Force was killed during an airstrike Thursday ordered by President Donald Trump near the Baghdad, Iraq, airport, the Pentagon said in a statement.

“Qasem Soleimani was at the height of his power when he was taken out. Unlike Osama bin Laden, who was a forgotten, you know, nothing burger, sort of hiding in a villa in Pakistan,” CNN’s Christiane Amanpour said Friday.

This comparison is correct.

It's such a believable lie though. I can see every one of his security officials expressing reservations about it, don't you? If they didn't then they are fools.
Reservations are fine, in fact there should always be reservations when making decisions like these. But maybe the consequence of inaction was greater than the consequence of action.

I don't know the answer to that because I don't have the intelligence, figurative or otherwise. Global diplomacy and politics are very complicated business.

I hope it does. At this point while I believe the world is better off killing him isn't worth a war, that's why I hope there is a plan.

Your two hopes just might clash with one another as the plan may involve more boots on the ground.

Iran Replaces Terror Chief Soleimani with ‘Uncharismatic and Less Distinguished’ General

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced Friday that he had appointed Brigadier General Esmayeel Qaani to replace former terror chief Qasem Soleimani, whose tenure the United States ended with an airstrike on Friday.

Soleimani’s formal title was head of the Quds Force, an “elite” terrorism unit within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which Washington branded a foreign terrorist organization last year. Soleimani was largely responsible for running the Iranian takeover of Syria, flooding Baghdad with pro-Iran militias, emboldening Shiite Houthi terrorists in Yemen, and otherwise spreading Iran’s military influence by attacking civilians.

She's not wrong

so killing OBL was just for the feels?
Not entirely, he was a holdover figure head young ambitious terrorists in the ME could look up to. The guy that stuck it to America and escaped their long reach. A message was sent but his days as a shot caller were done

Last night while thinking about this situation I rejected on OBL, I remember at one point there was opportunity to take him out but was dismissed as he wasn't considered threat enough to our interests.
