This is what happens with "preventative action." It's hard to prove when nothing happened. So far it looks just like a few tweets and statements. Ultimately It'll likely just come down to "do you believe the govt".Seems? Based on what?

Go to one news source and they predictably defend the strike and say it's saving American lives. Go to a couple other news sources and they predictably say the opposite. This is reckless escalation that will endanger Americans at home and abroad. When you can predict what each news source says, can you really trust what they say?
Do I trust the MSM? No. Do I trust the govt? No.
Not really, but I'm not expecting a coherent explanation from him either. Something with bad guy bad intentions in a tweet maybe. There's likely people itching to attack Iran in any way possible and I'm not sure he'd be able to see a difference between a real threat presented with evidence vs a group trying to pass it off needed. I'd guess there will be other people in the Trump administration coming out with some explanation of what they were preventing if that's the route they go.Do you trust Trump?

I've seen a couple statements about a coup that was being planned in Iraq or this was done to prevent a war not start another one. Whatever. If they want to justify this to the public they better have some strong evidence presented. The strength of taking the govts word isn't what it used to be.
I think this hurts Trump's chances at re-election if this does further escalate and especially if it ends up with dead American soldiers or repercussions affect people here.

Of course he will. Passionate red hats don't really care and his challengers are mostly morons
You have something against transparency?
I have a problem with hypocrisy and hypocrites. You have something against transparency?
Trump cancels Obama policy of reporting drone strike deaths
PagliacciYou oversimplified it but it's mostly true. Good economy, healthy job market, most of the stuff Repubs care about rolling along fine.
The Democrat party tripping all over itself to run as far left as they can and alienating the center, how can Biden go from being a liability when he speaks to the best candidate the Dems could run?
American politics has become comedy, is sad but funny.
