US may have killed Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani

How do you do that without causing a nuclear fallout?

You don't. Their tough luck. In case you are thinking Chernobyl - don't; just think something more like a dirty bomb ... messy, but not nuclear explosion type messy, or even fission products spread all over type messy.

i was wondering what it would take for Congress to declare war.

I don't want it. but I wonder how long/bad this action/reaction thing goes before Congress actually does something.

scrambling some jets isn't war. that tweet made a leap that is unwarranted IMHO

I don't think you are going to see troops on the ground in Iran. No point to it. The 82nd Airborne is over there as a QRF for U.S. facilities, and nothing more.

What you are going to see, or read about, is missile and airstrikes against every element of the Iranian C3 structure. I don't know when, but it's coming, and when it comes it will be big. Buy stock In Raytheon. They're about to make a lot of money from you as a taxpayer, so you might as well invest in it.

Iran will do all they can to drag Israel into this, to try and make it an "Arabs -vs- The World" fight, much the same as Hussein did. And just like it was with him, it will fail. Remember, the Saudis hate Iran, and they rule the roost in the ME.

There will be terror attacks against U.S. interests and allies. It's coming, so expect it. But Iran has made a serious miscalculation here, and it is going to cost them dearly before it's all over. The Iranian military, and especially it's Command and Control structure, is about to get a lesson in modern warfare.

The “usual suspects” are upset American troops are under attack because of a conflict Trump started for no reason.
I get it if you want to argue appeasement or just ignoring them and letting sanctions work, but there have been too many Iranian provocations for the “no reason” argument.

our warbirds in the same airspace as their warbirds is not a fun feeling.

lobbing missiles is one thing. actual troops engaged with an actual enemy is another.

imo of course.

How many of these provocations occurred after Trump ripped up the nuclear deal for no reason other than it had Obama’s name attached to it?
