I get what you are saying but almost everyone that says something like this acts as if Iran hasn't been attacking us for years and has been accelerating said attacks. Perhaps there was a better response but we can't just sit and take it. We ignored a bunch of similar style attacks prior to 9/11 and ignoring didn't work out so good.

There are no easy answers but something had to be done.
