Look at it this way. If you believe the neocons then war with Iran is inevitable. Might as well get it going on Trump's watch 'cause you know he will blast 'em with nukes and stuff.

Honestly, I don't think Trump wants any wars. We certainly don't need one with Iran because then it will boil over to the entire ME and possibly beyond that.

Iran may be an exception to his thinking. And at any rate he's got guys like Bolton absolutely trying to cause it to happen, whether Trump wants it to or not.

I think Trump will run his mouth a bit as he always does, but I do not believe he will engage militarily with Iran. Bolton will try his hardest to get a fight going, but I don’t think Trump will listen.

I don't like him but I don't think he's that stupid. More that he will push for positioning or posturing that provokes a military action and then escalation.

I have no doubt but that the 120k troop thing today was intentionally leaked to try to intimidate Iran. But I imagine they realize that, too.

Whatever tough words for Putin that Pompeo may have will be countermanded by Trump, shortly. I would think by now that everyone left in the administration realizes that you don't put Trump in the position of having to criticize Putin. Ever.
