If Iran strikes Saudi Arabia there will be a full blown ground war in the Middle East. I could see an alliance of the US,Saudi Arabia,the Gulf States,Iraq and Israel against Iran,Russia,Syria and Turkey.

I'm not a conspiracy nut, but Saudi would very much like to see the US go after Iran. And in a charged atmosphere, it wouldn't take a lot for a few Saudi operatives to stage an attack that looked like it came from Iranians.

The destruction a war with Iran would cause to Iran would make the Saudi’s the predominant power in the Gulf.
