USC coach calls Hurd "soft"?

Tee led the team to an undefeated season and a national championship win over Florida State.

Peyton never did that.

Tee had a 'perfect' game against South Caroline....no incomplete passes and no interceptions.

Peyton never did that.

Tee beat Florida.

Peyton never did that.

This is not the PeytonNation, or the ColtsNation, or the BroncosNation. It is Volnation. That is, what the players do and accomplish while a Vol. Tee did more.

Let the hating on little ole burgereater begin.:hi:

You are an all time no nothing douschebag bag if you think Tee did more then Peyton. It's not even close. The defense bailed out Tee over and over all year. He couldn't hold Peyton's jock strap. So...stfu.

Never did understand the love for Tee. He "won" the championship at Tenn. I get it... But, in 4 years he rode the pine for 3 and any dern QB not named Simms that has started for UT in the past 15 years could have done that as well. I never really understand why he got a street named after him etc. I could name about 15 other guys on that team that were much more important than Tee.

Yep! That sums it up as well!
:good!:

I would speculate that members of USC's staff have expressed some frustration with Tee's inability to sign any of the top players in the south (plus Hendrix) that they have targeted. He was very inexperienced as a WR coach when hired so it makes you think that the whole point of him being a member of that staff was to recruit the south and specifically middle Tennessee. If Tee wanted to say that Jalen was injury prone that may have been a reasonable remark but to call him "soft and terrible" flies in the face of the general consensus among recruiting services as well how hard other staffs recruited him including Nick Saban and Alabama who blew up his phone until the bitter end. It does not make sense that Tee Martin and USC genuinely doubt the potential of Jalen Hurd given the fact that he did have an offer from them. Tee's comments are immature sour grapes and his unwillingness to be man enough to own those comments are s sign of poor character, dishonesty and a lack of integrity on his part. You might even say that Tee has not just grown physically soft in his middle age but also eithically soft and cowardly. We don't need him anymore. His loyalties obviously begin and end with who is signing his paycheck. The hell with him.

Any legitimacy in your argument got tossed out the window with this b.s. right here in bold. Manning was the Wharton, Kelly, etc. of the 90's, without him half of the players on that '98 team aren't even at UT. These guys came to play with Manning and yes Tee did win a championship but Manning was just as much a part of it too. But if you want to really start splitting hairs then I guess Clint Stoerner deserves a ring too because if I remember he gift wrapped a game for UT.

If you want to give "God's finger" the credit, you are free to do so.

....yeah. He has that ring.

Like it or not, Tee can say pretty much whatever he wants. Hurd has to get on his level, not the other way around.

He does have 1st amendment rights like all of us but that doesn't mean we have to like his petty remarks and not call him out for being an immature and bitter opponent of ours that he now is. He can't have it both ways. If he is going to make nasty and completely unsubstantiated comments about a player of ours who has not even played a down of college football yet and then lie about making those comments then he is our enemy now. If he is a Trojan that is fine but I know a certain street that needs to be renamed and a certain wax figure that needs to be carted away to a melting pot. A divorce is a divorce.

Herp. Derp.

Hurd has had two shoulder surgeries already. Maybe he is a bit soft. Luckily we have two other solid signees.

There is a difference between injury prone and soft. If Tee had said that Jalen was injury prone that may have been reasonable but that's not what he said....and terrible? What the f*** ever Tee!

Tee has to say and do what's best for SoCal not Tennessee. I could care less what he thinks or anyone else not associated with Tennessee.

Healthy attitude, but for those not feeling the healthy thing...when you utter something smarmy about another team's signee...own it...don't B**Ch out...appreciate the national championship...you're a Tennessee great...again stick to teaching fine receiving skills

I associate a soft football player (particularly a back or receiver) with someone that shies away from contact and is reluctant to block and engage defenders. That is not at all what Jalen Hurd does per the film that I have seen on him. He is not soft.

Yeah, he can say whatever he wants. And everybody else can judge Tee to be a classless prick for saying it.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if I was allowed or not, you know, since I don't have a ring like the Almighty Tee.

....don't be mad.

I'm not down on Hurd, I hope he wins the heisman so we can kiil two idiotic conspiracy birds with one stone.
