USC coach calls Hurd "soft"?

Big deal. It's such a ridiculous statement, I don't know how anyone can take it seriously enough to get all worked up over it. So now we know that some coaches act just like a lot of fans do when they don't get a player they wanted "We didn't really want him anyway." Pretty funny.

At least we know there won't be any problems keeping JH motivated. I'm sure if he slacks up for a second he will hear 'Are you soft?' immediately. lol....

In other words... who cares about Peyton Manning.

In which case... I agree.

He spent his pro years as a rival of my favorite team and spurned the Titans. I pulled for the Seahawks.

Lol @ fans who follow one guy from team to team.

(most)Teams last forever. (all)Players last for years.

LOL at fans who have more loyalty to team established in 1997 than an all-time great Volunteer since 1994. Cuts both ways. If you actually pulled for Seattle I question your Tennessee Vols fandom.

I hate the Shehawks, but I'm not rooting for the Tennessee Oilers either.

The defense didn't shut down everybody. Hell they needed every one of the 34 points the offense put up just to get past Syracuse in the opener. Not to mention the 21-3 deficit against Arkansas.

Tee may not have been as good as Peyton but that doesn't mean he had nothing to do with the championship. He wasn't in there just to hand the ball off to Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry. Those who act like UT could've thrown Jim Bob Cooter in there and still won it all are simply wrong.

I agree with what you are saying, but at the same time people need to stop saying that Tee won that championship.
The whole damn team won that championship.

I pulled for Seattle and laugh at your questioning of my Orange blood.

I'm sure you were a Saints fan before Brees right?

Since the Dome Patrol wound down... when I was younger in central Illinois, I did tape trades with some pals in New Orleans and got recruited as a Saints fan in the very early 90s.

That was when there were only ****cargo Bears, pre-Peyton Colts or St. Louis Rams to choose from.

I have never understood Vols fans being upset with Peyton for not signing with the Titans. Unless you are a bigger Titans fan than Vols fan, which is fine, but the Titans and Vols are in no way related.

Lol @ people who can't separate the Vols and Titans.

Since we've gotten off topic..I don't see how anybody ever switches teams. I'll forever be a Vol thru good and bad. I grew up a St Louis football Cardinal fan as I grew up in Union City and the Cardinals were on every Sunday on the Cape Giradeau channel. I followed them when they went west. Before the first Super Bowl with Kurt I always told everyone I was the equivilant of a Cubs fan. I just can't switch.

Not sure if your comment was meant for me or just people in general. But as for myself I'm not a Titan hater at all and I consider myself a Titans fan. By no means am I a die hard Titans fan but I watch all their games and cheer for them.

I will always be a Vols fan first though. And can understand Peyton not signing with the Titans.

Wasn't directed at you. Was commenting on the people who hate the Titans solely because they think they have stolen Vols fans away

I remember UT fans acting like we didn't need Marlon Brown and he wasn't as amazing as we thought before he changed his mind...

Hey SGM I am thinking Keith Bullock Marvin Harrison and Donavan Mcnabb were playing for Syracuse. They were pretty good. Cooter is a bad comparison to Manning. Just sayn'

Phhewwww the Legion of the Miserable is out in force in this thread. WOW!!!

It was a simple comment that wasn't intended to be caught. Whether or not its crying over spilled beans he just said he was soft. Yall act as if coaches don't say worse about these kids they r evaluating. And yes CBJ and Co probably said the same or worse about many HS kids.

If he would have said it about a Bama or another rivals recruit yall would have taken it as a sign of how we are going to beat them next year cause they have a soft recruit.

And another thing PLEASE just let this kid come in and play without added pressures. So many of yall hype them up, and if/when they don't live up to what u imagined in ur heads while abusing urself like a 13yo boy yall go all cray cray. The kid didn't play his whole SR year, and had shoulder surgery. Soft or not let him just come in and do his thang. Yall throw around JR #s and videos like it suppose to be a guarantee of success from day 1 going into the SEC.

Absolutely ridiculous what some of yall get butt hurt over.

Totally agree....except with the "cray cray" part. Otherwise, spot on!
