USC coach calls Hurd "soft"?

Has he denied it? Have not seen any quote from Tee denying the comment.

People need to chill...guy said this in a room full of his fellow coaches and likely forgot there was a hot mic in the room

Well, he didnt exactly deny it, but according to Swain, he said he had no dealings with JH.

....yeah. He has that ring.

Like it or not, Tee can say pretty much whatever he wants. Hurd has to get on his level, not the other way around.

The anger isn't coming from Jalen. It's coming from vol fans. We are the one's he offended. He "dug on" his Alma Mater and he is paying the price.

Opener at Syracuse had McNabb at QB and Marvin Harrison at Receiver. Per earlier post from Ieave things out on purpose.

I didn't mention it because it's irrelevant to the argument. The point was simply that there were times when Tee had to make plays because the defense couldn't shut everyone down 100% of the time. Quality of opponent does nothing to refute that point. I never said the defense sucked or wasn't very good, because it was excellent. It just didn't single-handedly bring a crystal ball to Knoxville.

This is totally off topic but, change your avatar. Seriously, just let it go.

You're a Lane Kiffin fan.

You disappeared for the most part while he was at USC.

You've been around more since the bum flamed out.

You are to Kiffin what BTO is to Cuonzo. Only difference... Kiffin is a lying douche and Cuonzo overcame cancer. I can respect Cuonzo. Even Layla and Monte don't respect Lane.

People seem to have a hard time separating VLF college years from staying gainfully employed...

In other words... who cares about Peyton Manning.

In which case... I agree.

He spent his pro years as a rival of my favorite team and spurned the Titans. I pulled for the Seahawks.

Lol @ fans who follow one guy from team to team.

(most)Teams last forever. (all)Players last for years.

Harrison was long gone by '98 (he was in the NFL Draft in '96) but they did have another very good receiver named Kevin Johnson who had a big game against us. They also had future Titan Keith Bullock at LB.

Thank God they didn't figure out the beast they had in Dwight Freeney until 2000!

Now, now...Tee knows what he's talking about. Why, just look at the rings on his hand from his coaching stints at UK, USC.........er......wait.........

Jayson Swain tweeted out that he spoke with Tee and Tee denied it was him saying it.

Tee led the team to an undefeated season and a national championship win over Florida State.

Peyton never did that.

Tee had a 'perfect' game against South Caroline....no incomplete passes and no interceptions.

Peyton never did that.

Tee beat Florida.

Peyton never did that.

This is not the PeytonNation, or the ColtsNation, or the BroncosNation. It is Volnation. That is, what the players do and accomplish while a Vol. Tee did more.

Let the hating on little ole burgereater begin.:hi:

Might want to check your stats chief...he did indeed have an incompletion. Just ask David Martin.

The defense didn't shut down everybody. Hell they needed every one of the 34 points the offense put up just to get past Syracuse in the opener. Not to mention the 21-3 deficit against Arkansas.

Tee may not have been as good as Peyton but that doesn't mean he had nothing to do with the championship. He wasn't in there just to hand the ball off to Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry. Those who act like UT could've thrown Jim Bob Cooter in there and still won it all are simply wrong.
You are correct! Jim Bob would not have won that game. He was a freshman in high school then.
