I can't stand Lane or USC myself but they were down to 56 players heading into the game yesterday. I don't care who you are, you're not going to win with that depth. Plus, they're battling injuries.

No coach was going to win with those sanctions. Why do you think Carrol left when he did?

Exactly. Look at Dooley. 5 million to leave and a job with the Cowboys. Someone on ESPN speculated that they would hire him to commentate on their CFB shows for the rest of the year. After that, someone will hire him. He did get Crompton drafted after all.
Just makes me laugh to read what people say on here. Like the guy is sitting in front of a mirror with a bottle of Jack and a gun to his head crying about his decision to leave Tennessee. I'm sure it stings a little and will take him a while to get over the shock. But at the end of the day he can walk out of his Manhattan Beach mansion and stroll along the Pacific Ocean to clear his head.
I would love to get fired and handed a 5-6 million check as a parting gift. Where do I sign up? Pull me off a bus, do it publicly in front of everyone, however you like. I'd laugh all the way to the bank!

I looked into it. This and next. They can sign 24 this year for some reason, but attrition and graduation will keep that number iffy. They cannot get to 85 until the 2015 season . So managing player exodus in 2014 will be key
