USC OT Tyron Smith

Not to be a party pooper but it might be relevant because he might not transfer anymore as well. Henderson may have been promised his position. I've seen it done before.

Could be right. Just heard on ESPN that USC granted Henderson his release.

I forgot to consider that side of it :banghead2:

Reasons to leave...

He went to USC to play for Carroll.

Tennessee hired an offensive line coach out of the NFL.

He'll have more than a 0% chance of playing in a bowl game.

I'm not sure how happy I'd be if a new coach walked in the door and automatically gave my spot to an incoming freshman.

I don't know if that happened, but if it did... that wouldn't be cool.

That point doesn't hold merit imo considering Smith is a 5 star starter destined for the NFL.

I know he was five star. I hadn't heard anything about him being a surefire pro.

You can't say it doesn't hold any merit... coaching matters.

Mike Williams and Maurice Clarrette know.

Yeah I know, I'm just saying that seems like a longshot to me. I wouldn't put it past Kiffin to say that to a recruit to get him to sign (Bryce Brown anyone?), but I'm not sure Smith would be the one giving up his PT to Henderson.

You never know with the Kiffin circus though. I'm just glad we aren't the suffering from it anymore. :)

He's starting Tackle as an underclassman at USC...
that spells NFL.

To be fair, the team did lost four games though.

So we'll say he for sure makes it in the NFL.

Now, draft position is really important. Chris Johnson was 24th overall(I think?) and got 7 million guaranteed(12 million total). That's a big drop from what the top 10 or 15 players get. Every little bit you fall hurts.

Maybe having been in the NFL, Heistand could help his draft position?

Who knows. :p

Have there been any published reports of him being interested in or visiting UT (or Miami, for that matter) or is this all message board speculation?

Cregg came from the NFL to coach college ball too.

Glad you're not on the coaching staff. If people thought five wins was bad, it's lucky they don't have to watch you run the team into the ground for zero. :)
The reason I don't have the warm and fuzzies is because I'm not so sure there wasn't a little Reggie Bush type action going on with that guy.

Does anyone ever read stupid comments, from stupid people and wish they could punch em' in the face for being annoying and stupid?

Maybe it's just me.
More than likely its you that needs it thinking your comments and opinions are perfect. get over yourself. Everyone else has opinions too.

I wonder if this kid is thinking about transferring because he feels like he might not get to start this year even though he did all of last year? I'm sure Kiffin is shouting every position is open just like he did here. Either that or maybe it's the sanctions or he just don't like Kiffin.

Well, there'll be no bowls ... and maybe that last thing also. Some people just don't like him from the get-go, like James Stone that we ended up with in Kiffin's absence.
