USC OT Tyron Smith

Sorry, but I disagree. They would accept Mustain since he came from USC. We could use him. It's only one year. He's not going to cost us anything no matter what way we look at it.

Agree to disagree then.

I had a good buddy during that time who is a devoted Hog fan. I got the play by play during the whole situation... I wouldn't touch Mustain and especially for nothing more than a year.

I sure hope you wouldn't touch him.

if this kid, Tyron Smith, does visit UT, it will probably be a really good thing to have a guy he knows well, already here and in school. that is a +1 over Miami, itself.

I wonder if this kid is thinking about transferring because he feels like he might not get to start this year even though he did all of last year? I'm sure Kiffin is shouting every position is open just like he did here. Either that or maybe it's the sanctions or he just don't like Kiffin.

Yes. They will have to grayshirt on of their incoming freshman to free up a scholly

Transfers don't count against the recruiting class total, unless you mean that they are right against the 85 scholarship limit.

Poole should be the guy showing everyone of these guys around campus!

What all happened? I've been wondering that since all of this USC transfer stuff came about, and half the VN wants Mustain and the other half, like yourself, wouldn't touch him. Do you mind a quick cliffsnotes version of the whole Mustain, his mom, et al ordeal? TIA.

Seantrel getting released is good news for us with Tyron, correct?

If its true that he was considering Miami and UT and Henderson does indeed sign with Miami it should help. I don't think Miami would take another offensive lineman if they could get Seantrel there...

All this depends on if the rumor was in fact true.

i certainly hope so. if he was truly looking at the vols and miami. its a pretty good thing they are getting henderson. he would be walking into a starting job here....at the u, he would be fighting for a starting job. our O-line needs him bad.

This kid is more important than Jackson. We need this cat and another O lineman. One more DT and we are GTG.

I understand, but that was four years ago. It could be totally different. Like I said, you get a former 5* QB for one year and see if he competes. Why not take the chance?

Yeah I think one person mentioned Miami and now he is a Miami lock... PROVIDE LINKS!!!

man thats what i'm sayin! i posted miami's o-line depth chart and if henderson goes there then there's NO WAY smith goes! they have one senior tackle thats started since he was a true freshman and the other tackle is a freshman or i actually think he's a redshirt freshman and was a 4 or 5 star when he signed with them. he has a year with the team already so he is ready to be a starter. theres no way him and henderson both go there. the miami thing is just something someone kicked up on here and got it started. from EVERYTHING i've read the word miami has never left smith's lips! dooley chaney and thompson sent a fax to their school to every junior and senior football player talking about the new transfer rules the ncaa put on USC and telling them that they can call dooley, chaney or thompson anytime to talk about taking a vist to UT, discuss playing time they would see, the depth chart, and a bunch of other stuff. that's what has all these guys thinking about transfering. i do NOT see anywhere that says MIAMI done that... until someone shows a links and proves me wrong i think it's down to tennessee or staying at USC...
