USC sanctions

Until the report is released, it might be better to not say what is not in there and think about what could be in there. Cause you have no proof either to support your claims.

As of right now, there are no facts to support his claims. On top of that, it seems as if the sanctions are going to be mostly about Bush, and that's about it.

Yeah, should have given them the death penalty for one illegal player...geesh...

Guess they should just start slapping programs on the wrist...give it a rest. If all USC got was scholarships losses do you really think Kiffin and co. would start playing fair?

To be fair, I'm not sure he made any claims. He just stated that the other guy had no proof for his, which he is correct on.

And he has no proof on his thought process either, so he needs to stop getting into a pissing match with someone with no proof of his own. Once everything is known, then get into it all you want, but don't disagree with speculation at this point.

It's a message board, so if it gets on your nerves, I would seek other places much more fact based than opinion to spend your time. Just the facts, right??

Haha this is great coming from the king of "let's throw crap against the wall." Thanks for the advice.

Say it does end up being a 2 year probation. Was UT going to do anything in 2010 or 2011? No. USC will still be a better job in 2012 and beyond than UT.

We havent played a down in either of those seasons and your already saying were not gonna do anything and we will see by 2012 season that should be CDD break-out year.

So, they are to take a tour every year of their players' homes and decide who is and is not living above their means? Yeah, that'll turn out well.

I'm sure no lawsuits would emerge from a compliance office engaging in this type of activity. Anyone who thinks any compliance office is actually doing this is kidding himself.

If you think the wholesome great Carroll wasn't somewhat involved in this as well, your pretty naive, IMO.
Yeah, I bet Pete Carroll, with all sorts of high level NFL agent contacts at his disposal, is going to pick a second rate gangster and an Indian tribe flunkie to funnel money to Bush's family. Makes perfect sense.

No, you don't need to tour anything. There are MLS listings, websites like Zillow.com, etc that tell you a reasonable value of homes.

Twenty? Hell yeah. That's going to hurt them big-time. From 85 to 65 is going to hurt in all facets (depth to practices). And two-year bowl ban? If they win the Pac-10 twice (hypothetical) that will be a minimum of $10 million lost because of no postseason money from the BCS. This is not a slap on the wrist.

Really? Are you really doing this? Are you so butthurt that Kiffin left us and now he's going to answer for his dream job's crimes? Why are you clinging to this so hard dude? Did Lane touch you? Just point to the doll where he touched you. It's ok, you're in a safe environment.

I just want to attend one of these meetings when they start asking those questions and telling people the house they live in is too good for them.

Question: If the penalty is as severe as is being reported, would the 2010 class be allowed out of their LOI's? Just curious.

Now your just trying to deflect because you know you don't have anything to support your own claims that he is wrong.

He is wrong. There are no cold hard facts out to support his claims right now. There might be tomorrow. Right now, there are just reports that talk mostly about Reggie Bush... not multiple football players.

Nope. Usually not. They can file appeals with the University (and the conference) but neither is required to make a move.

And you don't know that he didn't find a way to do it. It amazes me that people think HC are this naive to what is going on with their programs. If there is that much lack of institutional control, then the HC should be fired on the spot, IMO.

It isn't rocket science. You can become a loan officer with a GED. It doesn't take a lot to learn, based on income, debt, savings, etc. what someone can reasonably afford.

You can learn all of this without actually sitting down and accusing people of anything.

So, if he's right and your wrong, you going to take your message board beating well?? Or are you going to moan and cry that they were wrong in their findings??

Really? That's the route you're going to go? Outstanding.

You realize that I posted that on the first page. We're now on page 6 of this thread. Let it go man. Be happy. USC just got taken down a notch. If that doesn't make you happy, I have to question your loyalty to TN.
