USC sanctions

Really? Are you really doing this? Are you so butthurt that Kiffin left us and now he's going to answer for his dream job's crimes? Why are you clinging to this so hard dude? Did Lane touch you? Just point to the doll where he touched you. It's ok, you're in a safe environment.

Wow. Thank you for that random, irrelevant comment.

Twenty? Hell yeah. That's going to hurt them big-time. From 85 to 65 is going to hurt in all facets (depth to practices). And two-year bowl ban? If they win the Pac-10 twice (hypothetical) that will be a minimum of $10 million lost because of no postseason money from the BCS. This is not a slap on the wrist.

I'd think the 20 scholarships lost will be totaled over a 4 or 5 year period. Like 5 scholarships a year for 4 years. Something like that. Not 20 all at once.

I'll wait until it's official. Remember that one of ESPN's sources said that we would hear about the potential punishment last week.

Either way, it still hurts some. Now-a-days, you have to have all 85 scholly's. Look at UT this year. We had to start four different MLB's this year because of injuries. It hurts. What hurts the most is the loss of cash (especially if they win the Pac-10 during those two years). Now you are talking about losing millions.

It isn't rocket science. You can become a loan officer with a GED. It doesn't take a lot to learn, based on income, debt, savings, etc. what someone can reasonably afford.

You can learn all of this without actually sitting down and accusing people of anything.

So, at that point, the compliance office calls the family in and says to most likely an African American family, "We've discovered you're living in a house that you can't afford, so you're going to have to prove to us how you're paying for your house, or your son is ineligible." Yea, I can't imagine anything going wrong with that.

Except there are multiple reports and USC pushed their press conference from friday to today.

Oh, so now you're going to start telling parents to hand over income statements and bank records. I'd love to recruit against a school operating that way.

I don't really care about USC since there not in the SEC. But I rather see Pete Carroll and Reggie Bush punished instead of the current roster. And there one BCS championship stripped and given the Auburn but I doubt the SEC haters would let it happen.

His statement about how there are facts to back up his claim is not accurate as of June 9.

Like I said, when the report is released, and there are facts to backup his statement, will you admit you are wrong or will you whine because you think it's unfair??

I have no prob messing w kiff, but it's the kids on the team now that are suffering for no reason.

Most people on this board have no
clue what the NCAA investogstirs and staff are like. A bunch if Midwest mustached douchers.

I would like to see every player in every sport be able to transfer without losing any eligibility or having to sit out. Unless they were directly involved in the transgressions of a cheating athletic department I don't know why they shouldn't be released from any obligation to the school.

Hat, it's like you are somewhat defending anything that could happen to USC, even though it pretty clear they have shown complete ineptness in controlling their institution. I don't understand, and probably never will. Alas, it's your opinion.

It amazes me that people think HC are this naive to what is going on with their programs.
It amazes me that someone who has spent less than 1/10,000th of the time around big time coaches that I have is trying to lecture me on the inner workings of big time college athletics.

I wonder if there will be an exodus at USC. Kiffin lied to those recruits by telling them nothing would come of it. Without a doubt they want to play. I would be suprised if no players transferred.

What is so freaking difficult for you to understand about this? I feel like I am arguing with a toddler. He made a statement and said that there are facts to support it ... i.e. facts that he and everyone else could find as of this moment. That's not true. Now, COULD the report that comes out tomorrow or whenever back up his claim? Sure. But, that's not the issue.

He cannot know with any certainty that his claim was factual... b/c it's impossible to know right now without having seen the report. I'm arguing that it's not true right now... not that it couldn't be true in the future.

I bet there's a basketball coach down in El Paso getting a good laugh out of Mike Garrett's plight about now.

It just seems like you think that Carroll had no clue this was happening. If so, then Carroll has to be the blindest HC I have ever seen in college. He has to know these things are happening. It just doesn't make sense that he doesn't. Like I said, if he doesn't have control over what is happening with his players on and off the field, he should be fired on the spot with things like this happening.

Might have been posted but whatever, I found it repulsive that J. Shaat kept saying all the coaches from this time period are gone ???? Looks to me like USC hired LAME back to face his own music !!!! Now they can properly FIRE his sorry ARSE !!!!!!!!! HE is reaping what he sowed, as it should be, wouldn't suprise me if USC knew the deal up front and negotiated the deal with Kiff to get a lesser penalty. The NCAA really doesn't like KIFFY Jr........... just my thoughts.
