I know last year wasn't your typical Duke team, but that's no reason to not call them great. They have a great recruiting class coming in to go along with Paulus, Scheyer, and Henderson. If Lance Thomas or Zoubek can step up then Duke just MIGHT not for sure, but they might have a chance go further than the sweet 16.

it is very logical compared to his other statements :p . he is at least admitting that UNC is more talented, and it is not impossible for duke to be a great team. i think they will be top 3 in a very strong ACC

Duke may not win it all, but they will not be as bad as last year. Duke should feel pretty good about their year if they can get a top 3 in the ACC.

They should feel pretty good if they can get a top 3 finish in the ACC. That seems to match up well to my comment that I made previously where I stated that honestly, I don't think Duke will finish in the top 3 of the ACC next year.

Earlier tonight you had them sweeping UNC. Now you admit a top 3 ACC finish would be a great year for them. :jpshakehead:

If they make it past the Sweet 16, I'll forfeit my posting duties for six months. Because outside Henderson and Nelson, they don't have the athleticism to compete with the likes of Carolina, Memphis, UCLA, Louisville, Tennessee, and perhaps Kansas.

Pitiful.......One thing I learned through the post, "Don't try to put a positve spin on the upcoming season"! But I will....Besides that, if these players and coaches don't think they can win it all, they might as well get off the field and go home.

I'm all for threads that degenerate into a sparring session between UNC and Duke fans being deleted permanently, not just moved to the appropriate forum.

I wasn't the one that changed the subject in this thread to basketball, and I also tried to change the subject back to the original question posted in this thread. I think it's a shame that a thread that contained so many pages of good discussions about UT football got moved to the Sports Forum.

Lawgator just stated that the Ceasar's Palace sports book has UT as a 28-1 (or 3.57%) shot to win the BCS, just slightly below the 50% shot given to UT by the delusional poster that started this thread.
