UT Football.........

This will sound silly, but I really enjoyed the Gatorbowl played in Gainesville against Va Tech. It was my first trip to the wretched swamp, and it seemed to serve as a springboard for Peyton and the success in the 90s. I left that game knowing the Vols were getting ready to make some serious noise.

what can i expect next year @ berkeley as far as vollfans making the road trip ....will the stadium be half orange ???

Traditionally they have traveled well when the Vols played UCLA, but half orange is a tall order. A lot will depend on how the Vols feel about their offense. If all goes well and both teams mature, they could be playing that opener on a huge national stage.

yeah, bama still is one that gets the juices going no matter where it's played....but you can't go wrong with UGA, UF or USC either....

but an away game...i'd got to LSU next year (07)....talk about atmosphere....that place is always nuts...

UT doesn't play at LSU next year.

Depends on who you know and how things are going. Last year, you could get into the later games for 10 bucks. If we're winning, I've seen Bama and Florida tickets go for $200/pair and up.

LSU rolls off the schedule after this year for another West opponent.

I know the national championship year was special, a ton of big games, but one game stands out to me, the UT win over Michigan in the Citrus Bowl,2002.Casey was the qb.The reason this is so big for me was my wife lived in Michigan for 15 years prior to moving here.Needless to say all I ever heard was how great the Big Blue was,how great the Big Ten was.Her dad and brother would ride me periodically.Well, needless to say, after we popped them 45-17, I didn't have to say a word the next time I saw them.A great day to be a Tennessee Vol.Yes, my wife was and still is a Tennessee fan. :biggrin2:

Hand down the 98 win ofer "The Gators" What a feeling, what a site as the field was covered in orange clad Vol fans.

I can't pick one.

2001 in the Swamp was amazing. Spurrier's last home game, a LOSS.

Win in the Orange Bowl snapping the streak was great.

Winning in Athens in 2004 was awesome.

Last year, being one of only about 300-400 Tennessee fans at Tiger Stadium was great.
