UT gets warning to protect Jews

Or just calling tolerated racism out in real time. Makes sense to blame my parents, they are old guard democrats who are forgotten. Adjust your hood when you type, you forgot a period earlier.
I'm guessing you couldn't find one decent poster in here to back your claim. There's a reason you're all alone

Haven’t seen one claim you’re not a racist, all things even then. Enjoy your hood in the corner, the kids call that a dunce. Or in your case an antisemitic dunce.

Also, very insecure of you that you need other posters for validation.

Nobody is confusing a red hat or a yellow shirt with a mask/facial/hood covering to violate/harass a targeted group. Nice reach though in your fight for antisemitism and tolerated racism.
plenty are. how often have we seen someone wearing a MAGA hat accused of racism or some other bigotry just because they had a red MAGA hat on?

Wut.

My 2A freedons don’t end where your fears begin.
Apparently they do if the fears are deemed justified.

Harassment is distinct from “hate speech” because it goes beyond mere expression of opinion and targets a particular person for harm. The threshold for speech rising to the level of illegal harassment is generally quite high. Anti-harassment laws often refer to speech directed at a particular person, based on the victim’s race, religion, or other group characteristic, and which has the purpose or effect of substantially interfering with, for example, a student’s educational performance or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment.

These exceptions to the protections of the First Amendment are very narrow, but they are well established. Civil libertarians and supporters of free expression–including protest, writing and art–can and should support the right to express hateful opinions, but can draw a clear line that no one has a right to incite a riot or to harass another person.

Your rights end at the border of another's freedoms.

@BigOrangeMojo

I can’t believe you went with “bitching and Refs” instead of “bitching and government spending “.

Honestly, which one is more “Jew-ish”

My joke was how to get in trouble for making fun of a Jew.

I was going to go with your musical tastes or your ref bashing. I chose ref bashing.

Id make fun of you being cheap as hell but that's one of your redeeming qualities....

I and many others have often felt harassed by the Jesus screamers on campus shouting wretched things at girls that would normally get them punched in the face if college wasn't so protective of free speech. Rules for thee..?

And how’d that work out? again, tolerated racism by liberals and main stream media.
I was called racist towards Jews because I said I thought the violence, all of it in Israel/Palestine, should end. and it wasn't by the left on this board, or other liberals, and main stream media.

I was called racist because I called out some of Netanyahu's actions, words, and policies. and it wasn't by liberals and main stream media.

I was called racist because I pointed out not all Palestinians were Muslim, and they all didn't deserve to die. and it wasn't by the liberals and main stream media.

the right use "racism" just as badly as the left does. anything that disagrees with them must be racist.

I am including anti-zionist, and anti-semite in "racism" fwiw.

The topic is taking mask off in protest. Simple task if one truly wants to support a cause on a campus of higher learning. The world wouldn’t tolerate KKK from blocking students from class today in the name of free speech/first amendment or making demands. So why are Jewish kids the exception?

The right or wrong of Israel and Palestinians actions is another subject.

You'll have to ask the legal system. I'm posting references to the exceptions. I suspect you'd have to post the specific "wretched things" in question and compare them to the possible things that (as I said) MAY have been said and done at the protests in question. But no. I haven't and will not press for two sets of laws, as your "gotcha" seemed to hope that I would.

As stated in the text I quoted, the legal system will hold such exceptions to free speech at a high standard, so I suspect it's not merely a matter of "anything said compared to your weak threshold". I suspect it is a standard of most any "reasonable" person feeling unsafe.

you are conflating multiple issues. The protestor has much right to take up the physical space they exist in as the next person. they are allowed to protest. they are allowed to say things that other people disagree with.

being physical, or stopping someone from moving is a completely separate issue.
threats are a separate issue as well. It sounds like UT has handled such cases appropriately, multiple arrests were mentioned.

someone protesting while wearing a mask is no more of a violation of someone else's right than if they were simply protesting. mask or no mask makes no difference to that matter. it makes me think of the Hot Fuzz bit "why is that guy hiding his face?", "maybe he's just effing ugly", "or maybe he has something to hide.", "yeah, that he is effing ugly"

And it wouldn’t be because of wearing a white sheet for their protest to be shut down

"Judeo-Christian" American evangelicals are just as bad as, if not outright worse than, the LGBTBBQ+-?, "anti-racist" crowd. Two sides of the exact same coin. Pastor/protest leader tells me to shut off brain and bleat, I will do it!
