Obviously that was a disappointing game and outcome. The one thing that stuck out to me was Baylor's defense. It seemed like Angie couldn't get open or get shots and with Grimer inside, we were really having trouble scoring. I thought the refs were whistle happy inside. If you just blew on Grimer, she was getting foul calls. One play I remember Brewer had her hands straight up and was actually trying to get out of the way, not even defend because it was an awkward angle, and they STILL blew the whistle. It's also disappointing to have to play a team so tough so early. I mean was Baylor really a 4th seed and played better than that or did the LV's play worse than the #1.
They just never felt in sync. I remember when we got the lead by 4 or 5 in the 2nd half thinking we needed to push that out to like 10 and that's when the wheels fell off.
It's just disappointing to play so well all year and have such a tough schedule and not win this one. Maybe the SEC isn't as good as I thought it was with Georgia getting routed today, too.
