i can not ever remember saying i was on the wagon to start with, i am a basketball and baseball fan.  The football team makes me sick, a program with all that talent can not do no better than they do is pathetic.  The more games they lose the closer those coaches get kicked out, and then we get a real coaching staff.  I am sure there are some very qualified coaches out there that would jump at the chance to come here.  Besides what schools have tried to get any of our coaches other that Taylor, he is the only one.  I here it from almost every UT fan i talk to, its time Fulmer and his cast left, there time has come and gone, ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!!!!

Out old running backs coach is now the Offensive Coordinator at Miss State, Our offensive coordinator got a job as Ole Miss head coach in '98 and John Chavis has been approached by several schools since he has been the defensive coordinator to become a head coach, and he has been approached by NFL teams to be their D coordinator...U talk about the football team being pathetic, I can remember some talented B-Ball teams doing crappy recently. We have a real coaching staff, we have probably one of the best in the country and the most stable in the conference..

Oh I am sorry VolNation, I guess 108,000 booing UT at the season opener is a good thing. I watched that game on tv to hear all those fans booing there home team is embarrassing. I hear it every year now the same ole boos, from so called die hard ut fans, they are sick to death of the same ole crap from a team that is supposed to be a national contender. When is every one ever going to open there eyes and ears and realize that it is time for a change.

I wasn't booing so it wasn't EVERYONE.

What kind of change are you wanting? Replacing the winningest active coach in football? With who?

Did u not hear the boos, how did it make u feel, I kinda thought it was funny, I believe they were booing the coaches not the players, I feel confident Hamilton could go out and get the best coach money could buy, look how much the current coach makes, we could probably get a better coach for half the price.

I wasn't booing either, but the fans who were just wanted another TD, nothing more.

I heard them. I think it's a lack of class to boo your own team, especially a college team.

Who is the best coach money can buy? Besides Pete Carroll who I am sure would be many people's favorite since he is hot right now.

I regard the AP Poll higher than I do the BCS...

And yes, OldVol I think a close, well-played game between Texas and Ohio State will keep them both ahead of us. This early in the season, a close loss to a top-10 team is a lot better than a close win to an unranked non-BCS team.

Milo what are you on? A team that losses drops and since we are off this week we will move up

Not necesarily. If one team barely loses, I could see them staying above us in the poll?

If any of you actually are worried about the ranking, root for Texas to win in a blowout. Ohio State is closer to us in the polls.

I agree with Milo

If Ohiney State barely wins they'll flip flop. If Texass barely wins Ohiney State won't drop. If Texass wins in a blow out Vols jump.

UGA and VT have big showings this weekend and they could jump UT, heck by next Sunday UT could be #10

I really dont care much where we are rated in the polls right now.
Everything hinges on Florida, Georgia, and LSU.
After those 3 games if we are still undefeated then i'll start to worry about where we are in the polls and the BCS.
The only nice thing about being highly rated is your get more television time.

UT is in bad need of a coach that teaches discipline, something we havent had in 10 years or longer. A coach who can control these quick tempered and out of control kids. A coach who will sit them down when they need it, or suspend them when they need it, a coach with some guts. Lou Holtz would be a pretty good coach or even Barry Switzer wouldnt be bad. These two wouldnt be scared to get in a 300 lb. linemans face. What about Bob Stoops, he coached in the SEC for a while, i bet for the right price he might leave Okla. Heck i even liked Ron Zooks style of coaching, but everybody knows he didnt have a chance at Florida. Lloyd Carr from Michigan wouldnt be bad, what about Jim Kressel from Ohio St. The list is endless i bet even a few NFL coaches might even be interested.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I still haven't figured out why in the world you chose to use Lou Holtz and Barry Switzer as examples of coaches to enforce discipline??

I guess you didn't notice the disaster that Holtz left for Spurrier at SC.
