Good weather, good girls here. But he is right, I dunno about rain necesarily but it will get cold. October/November here is usually the coldest time of year. The rain will come in December and stays for usually 4-ish months.

UT is in bad need of a coach that teaches discipline, something we havent had in 10 years or longer. A coach who can control these quick tempered and out of control kids. A coach who will sit them down when they need it, or suspend them when they need it, a coach with some guts.  Lou Holtz would be a pretty good coach or even Barry Switzer wouldnt be bad.  These two wouldnt be scared to get in a 300 lb. linemans face.  What about Bob Stoops, he coached in the SEC for a while, i bet for the right price he might leave Okla. Heck i even liked Ron Zooks style of coaching, but everybody knows he didnt have a chance at Florida.  Lloyd Carr from Michigan wouldnt be bad, what about Jim Kressel from Ohio St.  The list is endless i bet even a few NFL coaches might even be interested.

I'm gonna have to agree that your choice of smoking material is interesting. Every coach you mentioned (with the exception of Stoops, and he ain't going anywhere) is bizarre to say the least. Are you a Deadhead??

everybody can say what they want about me, but one thing is for sure i am no fake raised in tennessee, watched ut for over 30 years, have been around long enough to know when its time for a coaching change. hell i here it every time i talk to ut fans, people all over are bashing them, why should i be any different. cant u hear them at neyland stadium on saturdays. I dont think i am alone on this one guys. Ive been a UT fan for years and years I just cant stand too see whats happening to our football program these days, we are being laughed at and talked about all over the country, nobody respects us anymore.

I hear the sam from FSU, UGA, USC ...you name the scholl and there are always some in the fan base that talk like this guy - you know the "grass is always greener" scenario. No matter the university there will always be people whoe think it is time for a coaching change - let me guess - you were a fan of Majors and you probably think that Phil didn't deserve to be the chance to coach Ut either??

Majors was the coach when i was young, and yeah i heard the boos at neyland when i was there. U are right every team has fans that think its time for a coaching change. i hear them worse here though.

I would say 3 is as high as we will get this year probably after the Florida and LSU game we wont even be in the top 25

Huh???? We haven't even seen LSU play yet... I don't see how they can have improved so much over last year... They almost lost to Troy...

As far as Florida, they haven't played anyone yet...

yes I do - but they also question other coaching staffs and their decisions - its not just us - now I will admit that I do not like certain people b/c they have what appears to be a biase - but if i know that on the front end it doesn't bother me. I would almost be t that those shows you watch and listen to bash other programs just as much - but you don't hear that because you listen for what they say about UT, not UGA, UF or whoe ever else they talk about. All fans go through the same thing all the time - they always question Mark Richt about his decisions - it all depends on your perspective. Bottom line is this staff does well with the kids they have - all programs have out bursts and problems - but when you are a major program that is highly visible you are going to catch more crap than the low level teams .

That sir - is a loaded question. Who wouldn't want to see us put up numbers like USC and some of the other big guys right now???

I don't think you can blame coaches for the shortcomings of our players - at some point the players have to step up and coach themselves - no one can do it for them. On the field or off - the coaching staff can only do so much.

you can play this game until the cows come home - but it won't change anything. there are always naysayers - you can't change that.

I think the cows have been home for a while, do u listen to the post game call in show after the games those fans tell it all, we should do this, we should of done that.

i can not ever remember saying i was on the wagon to start with, i am a basketball and baseball fan.  The football team makes me sick, a program with all that talent can not do no better than they do is pathetic.  The more games they lose the closer those coaches get kicked out, and then we get a real coaching staff.  I am sure there are some very qualified coaches out there that would jump at the chance to come here.  Besides what schools have tried to get any of our coaches other that Taylor, he is the only one.  I here it from almost every UT fan i talk to, its time Fulmer and his cast left, there time has come and gone, ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!!!!

Look at all the other 1-A schools and show me 1 coach with as much success as CPF... COME ON!!!!

I live in the land of mediocrity and midnight clandestine trips to Louisville to try and replace a coach one year and then giving him a 3 million dollar contract the next. The land where one of the most storied programs in history has to hire an unproven coach because everyone else was to afraid to take the job...

No, I think Coach Fulmer is doing just fine...

I was strongly disappointed when he got a raise, and i definitely do not think he is even one of the top 10 coaches in the country.

you need to check some stats - they say he is a top ten coach. i am sure I will take a lot of flack for this but I guarantee that when CPF leaves people will talk about "the good ole days". It always happens that way.

It'll be tough since they named that street after him.
