I live here but if I didnt and were visiting the only place I would "have to" eat would be Copper Cellar. I eat lunch there 3-4 times a week and it never gets old. It is a little $$$$ though but not too bad.

Stock and barrel: excellent burgers, unmatched bourbon selection
Staying downtown: Tupelo Honey, Cafe 4, Knox Mason, Nama (sushi), Shuck (oysters etc) and the always reliable Ruth's Chris. Copper Cellar is very average, IMO.
