UT-UF at noon

These noon games are rough on parents who have kids in youth soccer and football. Not only is there no way to get to the game on time but I have to resort to DVR'ing the first quarter, at least. GBO!

Until the TV networks took over scheduling, all the home games were at 2PM. The addition of lights allowed a few evening games for TV. Now it's all about TV slotting. Accept it and move on.

If that is the case then we're going to be in real trouble against Florida. I personally don't think that was the case. I think our players were not amped up and ready for an early game and there were less fans present to make the atmosphere like it was against USU. Florida may not be as good as years past, but they somehow seem to play lights out in our game every year. We need every positive in our favor we can get, and this is defnitely a negative.

Less fans present... Wow, whole 2k less.. There was 100k at the Arky State game.. Plenty of atmosphere..

UF fans: do you honestly think Muschamp balls up and starts Treon in two weeks?

It depends.

If the possibility (which i think is there) that he loses the locker room if the change isn't made, i think he may indeed make the switch.

Regardless, I do believe you will see Treon play at some point.

I'm not holding my breath.

One thing I've learned over the years is that you NEVER know who's going to win. It truly depends on so many things, and we still have a very physical game with UGa to get through first.

History has been pretty clear on who was going to win unfortunately

I can't emphasize the following enough either.

It's a positive thing for Florida that this game is in Knoxville.

At least Kentucky is playing better football than Vanderbilt.

I just can't wrap my brain around how an awful Vandy team crawls into the 3.30 game.

I may be completely wrong, but I assume the SECN puts their "worst game" up against the CBS 3:30 game since the CBS game is supposed to be the best game in the conference that day and whoever goes against it probably won't get good ratings compared to the SECN's other two spots.

Historically speaking....we are 36-10 during regular season games started sometime in the 12:00 hour since 2000.

We have played Florida once at 12:00 since 2000, which by the way, UT won.

You're probably looking at it too logically. It's TV so they're trying to serve about a dozen masters.

They don't just rank the games and slot them into what we view as the prime time slots.

Maybe they didn't want too many eyes diverted from the 330 CBS game. Maybe they don't like the previous ratings of certain programs when paired together. Maybe there's an event in a similar window they don't want to go against.

Look at A&M/Miss. State. That's a bigger hose job at noon than our game, but there it sits.

What I can't understand is why they loaded the early part of the day up with so many games.
