UT-UF at noon

Historically speaking....we are 36-10 during regular season games started sometime in the 12:00 hour since 2000.

We have played Florida once at 12:00 since 2000, which by the way, UT won.

I'd be curious to see what years these 36 wins occurred. I'm willing to bet most were before 2007, which is the last time we came close to competing for the SEC. More recently, we've been half asleep in the vast majority of our earlier game times and that makes my confidence in winning this particular game considerably less.

Different team. Big game, they'll be motivated and ready.

Does the noon kickoff on the SEC Network hurt or help our chances of having Corso and the Gameday crew in town?

(I make joke you see)

You will hardly ever see a match-up of two mediocre SEC football programs get a prime time slot on TV. That will change when Butch gets us back to where we belong and Florida gets a competent coach. Bad timing for both teams.

I know this stinks for the fans going to the game...but I actually love these times. Out on the Left Coast I get up and watch the game at 9:00AM. Then get the rest of the day to make the wife and kid happy.

EVERY game commentator will be talking about us the rest of the day...

I have a feeling we will be a part of every half time highlight reel...one way or the other...

there's a dramatic difference between getting up for Arky State vs Florida. I think the opponent has more to do with it than the time does....at least for the players. Now for us specators, the time definitely is a factor.

While I am disappointed in the noon kickoff, I have no doubt that the stadium will be packed and loud. It's time to end the streak.

These noon games are rough on parents who have kids in youth soccer and football. Not only is there no way to get to the game on time but I have to resort to DVR'ing the first quarter, at least. GBO!

Add that to the list of reasons why having kids is a bad idea.

We should play video of the Wilhoite FG (and the crowd reaction) just before the game starts.

This may have less to do with us than UF right now - or otherwise it would have been announced before UF got blown up by Bama (networks wanted to see if they may be back this year and Bama game was a measuring stick). I actually think we positively surprised vs OK - think I read somewhere that our OK game had the highest ratings on that Saturday.

Noon kickoffs suck, but at least ticket prices should drop some now. Talked to two scalpers on the strip the day of the Ark St. game and both said that the kickoff time for the Florida game would heavily dictate the ticket prices. They said if it was a night game it would be a tough ticket to come by, but if it was an early kickoff then prices would drop. Glad I've held off as it seems it will be easier to grab a pair the day of the game now.

Remember ESPN hates us! They are mentally challenged😳

They didn't want the game going opposite LSU/Auburn or opposite the CBS game. Noon was the only spot, unfortunately. Going against aTm/ Miss State was the most logical choice.
