I think Kentucky is MUCH better than us right now. TN will have tougher time in Rupp Arena than at Kansas.

Bruce has remarked that some of our younger kids (Hopson and Woolridge) need to develop a mean streak. Apparently they are really nice kids, but he needs scrappers.

This team, right now, is not mentally strong....They didn't come in the game ready to fight...They laid down and got behind 25-9 by not hustling or rebounding....Kansas made all the effort plays....Were there some bad calls??..Yes...But it's Kansas at Kansas..You didn't think we were going to get many calls did you??....This team has lots to work on and not alot of time to do that work...SEC play starts up quickly and everyone knows how hard it is to win on the road in this league...Folks, Jujaun Smith and Chris Lofton are not running out of that locker room for the Vols this year and this team is going to have to find a player/s with those two guys heart...We don't have anyone showing that right now....This Kansas game was a very winnable one...Too bad the Vols didn't show up for most of it....

On a brighter note how bout those Lady Vols??..Down 20 at half and win by 4 on the road....Congrats Pat and the rest of the girls....

God I know. Williams and Prince are the absolute worst about that, but almost everyone does it. This team needs to learn to let those things go, and just keep playing hard. They have no control of over the refs, and it's pretty clear that complaining about it isn't helping them.

My post was to your statement that any other SEC team would have lost by 30 today at Kansas.

I hate to say this, but we aren't a very good team right now. No defense, and if the 3's not falling, we will have a hard time winning. We still are puzzled by a zone defense. Either Bruce is having a hard time coaching, or these kids are having a hard time learning.
