I never argued a rule interpretation by a crew; I just didn't see the ball hit the ground off the tee. Have another drink.
Strange how a simple discussion turns into an attack from the keyboard superstars. If the rule is the way some of you say, it's definitely different than high school rules. It's no wonder why this site is loaded with ego maniacs that would never act the same face to face, good day.

In high school, if the ball is punched up in the air instead of being hit into the ground like most onside kicks, the receiving team must have a chance to catch it. The Auburn onside kick recovery, unless it hit the ground off the tee, would not be allowed.
I know, man. It doesn't bother me. It amazes me what people get worked up about.
I did not know that about the high school rule. Interesting.

There was someone there to field it; my only question is whether or not it was kicked into the ground before it popped up and traveled 10 yards. If it did, no problem. If it didn't, US has to be given a chance to catch.
