Damn I'd like that. I can see that UF, USC, Texas, and OU all have a legitimate claim to play in the NCG game this year.

I love what I saw in the Sugar Bowl though and would like to see a method for teams like that to get involved.

It's tricky. You'd still need the BCS or something like it to determine participants and people would still feel screwed. Obviously Texas Tech wasn't National Championship caliber, but without the Ole Miss game (which wouldn't be an available reference at playoff selection time) it'd be tough to legitimize that claim. I don't think there's any perfect way to do it. Also, it'd be tough to choose when you have two teams like Utah and Boise, but I think people would be pissed if you included two mid-majors.

Yea, I don't see voting Utah a share of the title. That said though, they played some really good football the other night and a team like that could win 2 games for a title. Often? No. Possible...yes. Just seems impossible for a team like that to ever get in the picture, even in a plus one. Oh well.
