I think we will get either the 6'5'' UGA commit or the kentucky commit to look at us. UGA has murray coming in, and he is higher ranked. Kentucky has Morgan Newton coming in who is more like the QB they like. Has anyone heard if Kiffin has contacted either of them?

Kiffin needs to get Marlon and tie up loose ends with the recruits we had. QB will probally be in 2010, Marlon will start he is the real deal.

Just wanted to say, new to this forum and I love the website. I have been reading posts of you all for a few days and I love how i can look back at the site and see so many posts have been posted within a few hours.

Great stuff you guys have got going here. I love the Vols and look forward to this website.

And a little side note, congrats to Eric Berry for being named SEC defensive player of the year. Probably the best safety UT has ever seen. Now lets get some recruits in here to work with the SEC defensive player of the year.

So with Giles' announcement does this mean we can finally put the decommit question to rest?

What I mean is....was Giles the last former commit who decommitted but hadn't said if he had or had not recommitted to us?

I am so ready to put that "limbo" period behind us and move on...

Hopefully Giles is the last one and we can just look to the future now

I may be the only one, but I'm concerned about what I've seen recently in our recruiting. Since Kiffin has stormed across the country, we have lost one of the best QB prospects out there and now Giles. Hunter is apparently looking around, too. I know Kiffin and Reaves are supposed to be ringers, but the immediate results do not support these reputations. I really hope we turn it around and fill our big needs, though.

we are at the top with Alshon Jeffery and Sam montgomery because they came here. those are only the public ones too, there may be more.

Relax, Fulmer leaving was what lost Giles, not Kiffin. And we didn't lose Boyd, Kiffin told Boyd to look elsewhere because he probably wouldn't be a QB in our offense. Chill on the immediate results judgement. He is just getting to know these recruits. he has sured up some commits that weren't too sure about UT when Fulmer left and he has also brought some different recruits to the table that weren't even considering UT before. This kind of mentality is dangerous for our program, people will want Kiffin fired after year 1 if he doesn't win 10 games.
Sit back, relax, and let the man do his work for a few years.

I just think that Kiffin is going to have one hell of a recruiting class next year. This year we will pick up a few more commitments because the school is a great place and players know about our tradition and the direction of the team.

Im not expecting too much more on the recruiting front this year though.. Maybe we get lucky and pick up quite a few 4 star and 3 star commitments, but i dont see us being in the top 10 recruiting classes.

I am very excited for next years recruiting class though, as i think itll be one heck of a class.

Any word on Jon Bostic? Ive seen we are in the running, looks like a beast at LB..
