It's a catch 22. The defense looks subpar because of lack of talent, but talent won't really come here because the defense looks bad.

UGA mods said he was going to try and come down to Athens after the visit to Knoxville. Have you heard this as well?​

He told me the only planned visit is to TN on Saturday. They start padded practice tomorrow and Friday and then he will be here on Saturday. We will see after that but there is not a planned visit elsewhere right now

How do they have that much room? Are they really expecting to lose that many guys?

I think with the NIL, players are basically becoming paid employees that are employed at will. They are going to find out this NIL will cut both directions. Don't perform, "hit the road Jack". 85 will be the only limit as you roster needs change and players don't develop, get rid of whatever it takes (30/40) and adjust with tons of recruits and portal guys. The days of holding onto four year bench riders with not much upside are over. "Just my take"

They've been best friends since elementary school. So have the families. Word is he's still visiting and bringing family and Peyton Lewis too.

It would honestly rub me the wrong way. I wouldn’t come here if Tennessee did it to me. As long as you have comparable options, I feel like these guys should go where skool’s have you as their first option.

We have two really good LBs already committed.

Use the resources elsewhere or just get veteran LB from the portal

It is always possible the kid was flattered Georgia wanted him all the sudden, got a rush and talked big and in the hours after started to calm down and is still calming down. Comes here, loves it and decides this is his new home.
