'24 VA LB Chris Cole (uga commit)

It is always possible the kid was flattered Georgia wanted him all the sudden, got a rush and talked big and in the hours after started to calm down and is still calming down. Comes here, loves it and decides this is his new home.

Possible…

It’s recruiting…

Maybe we should calm down…

🤷🏻‍♂️

Nah!

😅

Just feels like he wants to be a part of Tennessee.

So you think the secondary is good enough for us to win a National Championship? That's the goal. You just want to play for bowls?
We had an 11 win season in Y2 under this staff led by Heupel. I’m gonna bet they have a better idea of what it takes to win a NC than you and will do everything in their power to get us there.

Or is if your belief that you have a better grasp on the situation than the guys who live it 24/7?

The issue is that what you just asked and what he is referring to are not the same thing. A better question would be "Do you think the coaching staff at UT is better equipped to determine which DB's will give UT the best chance to win a National Championship?" Everyone including the UT coaches and players have said that the secondary must be better this season. I don't have the hubris to see McCullough trot out during game 1 of next season and think to myself "What are these coaches doing? Don't they know we have better players than him?"

The 11 win season was due to the efficiency of Hooker under center and in spite of the defense. If you're content with 10 and 11 wins a year, I don't know what else to say. Will Milton be as efficient as Hooker? Maybe.

The efficiency of Hooker was due to the coaches. So if you’re not content I would really like to know your plans. What exactly are you going to do to improve to 12 wins?

How efficient was Hooker before Huepel? And yeah 10-11 wins a year is the required stepping stone/benchmark for most programs to be at before making the Title jump. Ask Clemson, Georgia and us in the 90's.

For now, I’m tickled pink with 10-11 win seasons! We are not far removed from a miserable 15 years of mediocrity and coaching blunders. How soon we forget!

I'm talking about defense though. That's where we need an infusion of talent. That's where changes need to happen, not with the coaches but the players.

If I recall last year our offense lost us one game and our defense lost us another. For the type of offense we run and how many ppg we put up...our defense was actually pretty good last year....we were 35th in scoring defense and 13th in red zone defense.
With our office, if that will continue or improve, we are going to win a lot of games! On top of that, we still do not have a fully loaded roster of talent on that side of the ball.

Imagine getting “sloppy seconds” after Georgia lost a higher ranked commit and then, and only then, gave you a green light to jump on board. Have some more self-pride and come home to the Big Orange. And have fun kicking Kirby’s ass for not thinking higher of you to begin with!!
In all fairness, didn’t our staff only turn the heat up here after we lost Singleton to LSU? It’s all in the game, yo.

Honestly if we weren’t living in a world of total dominance by Alabama and Georgia winning national championships like candy. A lot more fans would be thrilled with 11-2. I understand it on both sides. Like in the 90’s for instance we were around a 11-2 program and everyone was mostly elated. Only big difference was Florida, Bama and Georgia weren’t winning 7/10 national championships that decade. Plays a big part imo
