I think depth chart makes a bigger difference than numbers anyway in the NIL era because people can just go to basically an NIL equivalent of a scholarship if you go over the 85 but still want them. They had a huge linebacker class last year that are incoming freshmen, then there's this guy, that's alot of top prospects to compete with, and that's just the guys who haven't seen the field there yet. Definitely an easier path to PT here.I mean they could ask some guys to leave and all. But I would think this recent LB commit has to help us some with Cole.
- One more recruiting note before moving to the team side. Based on what I’ve been able to gather on four-star linebacker Chris Cole, Tennessee gave itself a real shot with the visit this past weekend. He’s a MAJOR priority for the Volunteers and I’m told that Cole and his family had a good time in Knoxville. I still lean Georgia coming off this visit. I think it’s a two-team battle. We’ll see if this is one of those visits that fades overtime or if the connection just keeps getting stronger. He is absolutely a take and a want for Georgia right now.
Whatever position he plays I think he will play very well, hope we sign himit seems @bigl3327 was spot on. He said WILL LB, and Cole confirmed that the other day
