'24 VA LB Chris Cole (uga commit)

Warren’s mom wanted at Michigan and he committed to Tennessee anyways. Hopefully Cole is on the same page as his mom
Hopefully, we're his choice as well. As a parent, I wouldn't let my child near that program. They had two people die within the program in an excessive speeding incident. Now they've had 3-4 more reported reckless driving incidents for excessive speed within the program. That's a lack of institutional control. I know coaches can't control the actions of players 24/7, that seems like a major red flag to me.

Virginia linebacker Chris Cole had a great visit last weekend but as of right now, we aren’t willing to say Tennessee has done enough to be the favorite. We felt like it would be UGA and the Vols, but Miami seems to be hanging in there better than many thought. Cole could still take an official visit to Tennessee. If he does it would likely be in September.

I know its the wrong thread... Mostly what everyone knows: Cole loved his visit and the coaches were on target. This is a very ‘fluid’ recruitment because Cole has a handler for NIL. The U making some noise that I’d otherwise dismiss, but who knows with a handler directing things.
VQ reading up on this board for their info.

you forgot a digit...

13 to 14 more incidents.

UGA's Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins arrested on warrant, cited for speeding,

Didn't realize it was that many.
yeah its bad.

Funny hearing the local sports radio try to talk it away. They were promising that Smart had it under control before SEC media days, he knew what he was doing, blah blah blah, guys heads on straight, whatever whatever.

There have been two more incidents since SEC media days, and that's even with all the lead up to fall camp when you would expect guys to be returning to the football mindset.

Recall too that GA sent fixers into the Atlanta newspaper to force reporting to be shut down on the alleged series of rape and sexual assaults at UGA football. But the AJC's excuse for scapegoating the investigative reporter -- while retaining the editors and management who approved those same stories -- makes no sense. The best UGA could come up with was to force the (likely willing and complicit) AJC management into claiming (in conjunction with UGA lawyers) that the exact number of sex crimes had not so far been established with certainty. Niether UGS nor the newspaper denied that everything alleged happened. Bad, crooked scene. But the NCAA has no zero interest in all that smoke.

What’s awful about the entire situation is Georgia fans claimed victory even though the kid still pled guilty to sexual assault. That fanbase has some serious problems in it and it’s being perpetuated by coach who only cares about winning. One day it will catch up to them and I hope the NCAA/FBI gets involved. Something ain’t right down there

It sounds like you aren't down here near Atlanta.

The AJC is absolutely NOT playing favorites with UGA. Never has, never will. Most UGA fans despise the AJC. the radio guys even brought it up that the AJC was probably over eager in their hate of UGA, and they overstepped letting UGA make a move. It was not a purposeful move to help UGA.

The AJC/author got busted because they came in with an exact number, and couldn't back it up, or even offer the results. Did those 11 ever go to court? Were they found guilty? With have some pretty recent history with initial sexual assault charge stories blowing up. McCollough we originally thought beat his GF. AJ Johnson had his shot at the NFL ruined with a case that drug on way to long. Its not like UGA didn't have a leg to stand on, and they went to the AJC and asked them to show their hand. The AJC was bluffing, and had to fold. Which is unfortunate, because now UGA can say its all BS, when in reality there might be 10 legit cases out there, but because of the 1 extra they had to drop the whole thing.
