We have a great room of young guys. How many yards/ tds/ snaps did that group have outside of Sampson? We might be more than good or even great. Sampson is proven, nobody else is. They’re likely not sniffing for a rb in the portal. But if there is an absolute stud like judkins, for example purposes only, would you want him?

No we need OL and DL LB TE and WR as well as DB before we take poral guys at RB

K. Read the same declarations about Jeremy Banks after he was switched to LB. Whatever one thought of him, he did some MEANINGFUL SNAPS. My opinion is based on him receiving a needed rest after being a heavy workhorse in high school. He’s every bit as good (or better) than Small…and he took hella MEANINGFUL SNAPS.

But the other running backs our our roster are more talented than Bishop. The competition for carries is going to be fierce. That wasn't the case when Small came to UT.

That’s an opinion forecasted in advance. One more (for sure) season of Sampson and Seldon/Lewis will need a third. Lot of unknown. In any case, declaring a player G5 at best is beyond bloviated.

Yeah. Seem to remember Small was part of a package deal to recruit another player. He was a solid rb for us possibly would’ve been better if not for the shoulder issues. Bishop could be one of those surprise guys that turn out to be a great rb.

I think it was Omari Thomas, they were hs teammates and committed within a day of each other
