Vaccine or not?

You know I'm far from an anti-vaxer but this does nothing to insure the drug companies are on the up and up. We, as tax payers would still foot the bill in the event of issues down the road.
Also agreed.
But from the government’s point of view (and I’m not saying they’re right) without the immunity the vaccine likely doesn’t come to market. I think the immunity is wrong but if you’re going to impose that risk on the public then you should insure it.

I get that “you” is in general and not me….but I’m very much opposed to any mandates. Even so the issue is liability if we’re talking about giving a business a legal pass.

I believe I saw way early on where the adverse reaction liability would be on companies but OHSA stepped in and said it would fall under a WC claim if the company mandates it as an employment requirement.
This will be interesting to watch down the road as I fully expect companies/WC carriers to refuse those claims resulting in hearings coming up before the DLIR Director and possible appeals to LIRAB and maybe further up. In the right states those proceedings could ultimately result in some legal precedents being set allowing previously employer/carrier refused cases grounds to be reopened by injured employees.

I have not seen that but will look into tonight
