Did Cornell doctors violate medical standards by "clearing" students for the vax?

This summer, Cornell University instituted its COVID-19 vaccine mandate, giving students an August 2021 deadline to submit medical or religious exemptions. The students assumed the exemption process would be fair. They couldn’t have been more wrong.

In fact, Cornell instituted what appears to be a process of outright denying or delaying decisions on initial religious and medical exemptions – no matter the reason. Students with religious exemptions were referred to the Cornell chaplain for further discussions.

We can also confirm that students that presented valid medical exemptions were told by Cornell doctors that they were “medically cleared” to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The Cornell doctors made this recommendation despite never seeing or treating the Cornell student, and despite not knowing in detail the student’s medical history.

I have been extremely lucky so far. Only lost 1 person to Covid that I knew reasonably well. They were fully vaxxed.

Both my parents, 60+, had Covid, said if it wasnt Covid they wouldnt have even taken off work or gone to the doctor. My dad missed about 2 weeks of work due to the vaccines, my mom 1. Both have said they wont get the booster(s) due to their reactions.

Covid is weird, dangerous, and unpredictable. Which is why we shouldnt be mandating anything from a top down perspective. People should be allowed to work with their own health care providers and make their own decisions.

So you are mandating for a 25% improvement over the baseline. Hardly the 11x less likely number that has been thrown out.

And if 1.6 scares you, it seems like 1.2 should also scare you.

Based on these numbers, the “11 times” isn’t even correct. Even if it was correct, are you saying we should fire people who don’t want a vaccine?

Should we confiscate all vehicles too? You know the death rate for that is 11.8 per 100,000. If it only save one life, isn’t it worth it?

All while ignoring death rate numbers. Students have a higher risk of motor vehicle accident deaths on the way to school. But they still drive their vaccinated children and drop them off at school in their masks.

I still don't personally know a single person that has had anything more than a bad cold from COVID, but I do personally know two young people (my age) that ended up hospitalized within a week or so of their second shot. One ended up having to leave his job.

Anecdotes, sure. But these anecdotes combined with 1) my extremely low risk of complications from COVID, 2) the long-term unknowns of the "vaccine", and 3) the documented affects on the heart of way too many people in my age group, it makes absolutely no sense for me to get the shot for any reason. So I won't.

Dozens of General Electric (GE) employees walked out of work in protest of coronavirus vaccine mandates on Thursday morning.

The protest took place at GE’s Greenville plant, as dozens of workers walked out. The demonstration grew, as “about 100 people” ended up gathering.

GE is subject to the federal government’s mandate, as President Biden has signed an executive order requiring federal contractors to be vaccinated.

The idiotic thing about all this is that the EO doesn't require a vaccine OR an exemption, to my knowledge- only that contractor firms will abide by certain guidance that still hasn't actually been released.

The contractors I work for have been extremely delicate in how they word their "mandates".
