Vaccine or not?

Including the vaccinated.
Fully vaccinated people with a vaccine breakthrough infection are less likely to develop serious illness than those who are unvaccinated and get COVID-19. Even when fully vaccinated people develop symptoms, they tend to be less severe symptoms than in unvaccinated people. This means they are much less likely to be hospitalized or die than people who are not vaccinated.

A common reason I see used for remaining unvaccinated is :

"You can still contract COVID-19 when you are fully vaccinated."

That isn't a good reason. There really isn't a good reason for an adult to remain unvaccinated, especially if you are over 70 years old.

I'll just restate that I find most "vaccinated" people below the age of 70 insane for choosing to get a treatment in which it is impossible to know long term side effects for an illness they have a way greater than 99% chance of surviving according to the statistics.

But if you want to play games with your well-being with the same big pharma that's done untold harm on society have at it. That's stoogery in its purest form.

It’s an individual’s choice however. As long as we all recognize that it’s all good. Currently I meet the CDC definition of “fully vaccinated” however I’m not sure how I will handle boosters 1,2,3…50 🤷‍♂️

“I don’t want to take it” is the only reason they need and ultimately it’s their choice.

Sure, it's the individual's choice. But that shouldn't stop me from judging.

Not based on statistics. Both are fairly minor risks to the average person. You know… math / science?
That is not what makes the analogy with driving so ridiculous.

The government has imposed many driver safety laws, which most people do follow. These laws concern speed limits, mandatory seat belt usage and distracted driver bans against mobile telecommunication device usage during the operation of a motor vehicle. So, you are not at liberty to operate a vehicle as you damn well please.

Just as the government can impose driving suspensions, speed limits, and user restrictions in their effort to protect the public's health and well-being on our roads, they can also impose mandates concerning masks and vaccines in the effort to prevent the spread of infectious disease during a pandemic.

Don't take my word for it, though. You should familiarize yourself with the strong and lasting precedent set by "Jacobson v. Massachusetts" from 1905... or even the very unfortunate saga of Mary Mallon (a.k.a. "Typhoid Mary") in the early part of the 20th century.

No, that is often used as a response to people saying that the vaccine protects you from getting COVID.
The most common reason why I see people remaining unvaccinated is that there is no data on the long term effects.

Could you elaborate on the mask mandate? Where is the science that says masks prevent covid and the .gov has the right to mandate them? Look at the things that happen all over the country every weekend, football games with 100,000 people packed in side by side without masks and there are no covid outbreaks, why is that?
