India Won't Add Merck's COVID-19 Pill To National Treatment Protocol, Citing Safety Concerns | ZeroHedge

The state-run Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said it had become aware of “major safety concerns” that prompted the decision, despite India’s drug regulator in December approving the drug for emergency use.

It comes after France in December also canceled its order for the drug, developed by Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, following disappointing trial data suggesting its drug was markedly less effective than previously thought.

“Molnupiravir has major safety concerns including teratogenicity, mutagenicity, muscle and bone damage. If this drug is given, contraception must be done for three months as the child may have problems,” ICMR Director-General Balram Bhargava told local media on Wednesday.​

I did hear about that one having issues, but had no idea about the contraception deal....woah!!

There was a young guy came into where I work yesterday and he said that he wished that he
felt better, he was getting over covid and had taken a rapid test and was negative, but still did
not feel well and he was wearing a mask which I appreciated, but he said that he had also had
covid in November and that he was unvaccinated but thinking about getting vaccinated now.
I have never gotten covid thankfully and I am around about 100 people a month and I have
all my vaccinations and a booster.

Dude, how stupid and/or deceptive can people get with this ****? There are not 21k vaccine deaths.

21k people who got the vaccine then died, then reported. This sounds like a big number but not when you consider mortality rate x 205,000,000 people.

238k Americans die every month. Averages out to 149k of them being vaccinated. So after what, 10 months of vaccine administration, we have 21k deaths that have been reported after being vaccinated. We don't know if it means anything. We do know nobody should be calling them "vaccine deaths".

How many thousands of clinical trials and not one death...

3 million out of a country over 1 billion.
Nearly the same percentage as the 800k in a nation of 330 million here in the US.

And It is likely that both of those numbers are inflated a bit.

That entire paragraph could also be used to point out the overestimation of COVID blamed deaths. And I don't know how the clinical trials went, they won't release the info to us for 55 more years.

Thanks BB. My wife was Covid + this week, I tested -. Because she is immunocompromised, they have her lined up for the Regeneron IF she has a relapse. So far the Vax has worked as advertised. We both have all 3 shots and she had a fever for 36 hours and was better. I haven't shown any symptoms yet.

I have a VERY conservative friend in OH who refused to take it up until the end of the summer last year. I told him calling me and bragging about that was stupid because at the end of the day you have to ask yourself, do you believe that the vax will work and if so, why are you taking it?

Not really. You're comparing a segment of 21k that, for all we know, could be entirely non-vaccine-related deaths to a segment of 730k where we can reasonably be sure that a huge number are legitimate COVID deaths. We know that the 730k number, even if it's kind of inaccurate, represents a real threat.
