Vaccine or not?

Was any treatment provided for her?
Didn't need it. She spiked a fever below 101 on Monday that went briefly to 101.5 on Monday night. Got it down with Tylenol and Advil. Was just above 100 on Tuesday and we went and got tested. Wed morning she was fine and no fever since. Her GP was out of town this week and so was his nurse. So response was slow. Her Onco told her if it spikes again or she starts getting chest congestion to come in immediately for the infusion.

Thanks BB. My wife was Covid + this week, I tested -. Because she is immunocompromised, they have her lined up for the Regeneron IF she has a relapse. So far the Vax has worked as advertised. We both have all 3 shots and she had a fever for 36 hours and was better. I haven't shown any symptoms yet.

I hope you and your wife have a quick recovery. I'm a bit confused by your statement about the vax working as advertised and then the very next sentence you mention your wife had a fever for 36 hours. Up until a month ago it was promised that if you take the vax you will not get sick. The majority of the people I know who have gotten covid in the past 2 months have all been vaccinated.

Glad to hear she's doing better

I just don’t like that the standard is not to treat until it gets bad, given that we have safe options.

But I am glad her she’s well.

Wasn't the Dr's fault, she waited too late on Monday and wasn't bad enough for the ER. Tuesday she felt bad but better than Monday and we went and got tested to be sure then Wed she was fine.

Interestingly, neither I, my son, nor most of my friends and patients that have had CV19 ran fever when we had it. But I keep hearing "I'm just glad I got the vaccine or it would have been so much worse" by vaccinated people with fever.
And I work in a town that was Covid central for W. KY and people were dropping like flies. We had 4 die in a month spanning Aug and Sep 2021. I guess you were studly but I know MANY more that weren't and were VERY sick.

Idk if you work independently or in a large practice or something in between, but based on the other provider's you know: is it fair to say most of them do not treat patient's for Covid until it becomes severe?

Sorry to hear that. I'm guessing many of them were obese, smoked, or had type 2 diabetes.

I have taken care of over a thousand kids with CV19 now, so I have a pretty good sample size, myself.

I had a super low fever (99.5 max). Dad had one up just over 100 (vaxxed). Wife peaked out at 102 (unvaxxed, but also had just had a big chiropractic adjustment so don't know if that contributed).

Self-owned private practice, on staff at the largest Children's hospital in the area, keep regular communication with the Chief of Staff and several subspecialists.

Treatment wise, I recommend vitamin C, D, and zinc, sunlight and light exercise, if possible, plenty of fluids, healthful diet for all. History of asthma/lung disease = inhaled steroid. Nasal symptoms/loss of smell or taste = intranasal steroid.

I've sent about four teenagers with comorbid conditions for antibody infusions, but that's not really an option now, with the mutated spike protein.

I have had several adult friends and colleagues that took cocktails of ivermectin +/- hcq, steroids, and vitamins, and they all seemed to respond very quickly (1-2 days).

I won't deny that at all. I'm just saying, you can't use your experience as the norm since most of this country (including myself) are obese to morbidly obese.

The 99.5 to 101.5 fever absolutely sucks ass.

It put my dad and wife both on their butts. I was tired but I kept up light workouts and the symptoms I had were mostly just annoying as opposed to oppressive.

I also eat the best out of all of us and exercise 8+ hours a week.

Thoughts on 1% pvp-i use as a gargle, nasal spray, or in a netti pot?

Dude, how stupid and/or deceptive can people get with this ****? There are not 21k vaccine deaths.

21k people who got the vaccine then died, then reported. This sounds like a big number but not when you consider mortality rate x 205,000,000 people.

238k Americans die every month. Averages out to 149k of them being vaccinated. So after what, 10 months of vaccine administration, we have 21k deaths that have been reported after being vaccinated. We don't know if it means anything. We do know nobody should be calling them "vaccine deaths".

How many thousands of clinical trials and not one death...

How stupid can people be to push medicine on people that don't want it? Especially medicine (the vaccines) that doesn't prevent people from catching it a spreading it at all? Talk about stupid. Also, I know of two people who were perfectly healthy until they took the vax, then dropped dead from a blood clot. True story.

I really like your second paragraph. It's fantastic. You stated that 238k Americans die every month. So what was the highest death rate in a single month from COVID in this country? And we spent trillions, shut down businesses, whipped the media into a frenzy, and all for what? Something that pales in comparison to normal death rates. Talk about stupid and deceptive. Talk about dumb people making dumb decisions. How embarrassing, and that with everything we did, and all the money we spent, it didn't help slow the spread of this boogeyman at all. Talk about stupid and deceptive.

Cool story. It's not "21k vaccine deaths", despite your rambling deflection.

Good, now we're getting somewhere. So, because of this group's poor choices (drinking sugar, eating crap food, being sedentary, heavy alcohol consumption, and smoking), there has been a major strain on our healthcare system and hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths. However, there are several posters demanding that others should not have the right to make personal decisions about their health in regards to an experimental shot.
